I got the spacers removed today and springs adjusted. The car is at a much better height. (four finger height in the front and five in the back). I called the guy you said but, he was located too far for me and i didn't want to take the chance of getting pulled over for tinted windows. (which i got removed today). I will be getting a thermostat valve installed over the weekend or sometime next week. ( any specific brand/ price range i should go for?) I will make sure to get my radiator/cooling system thoroughly serviced and cleaned before getting coolant and that's when I'll get the fan auto'ed.
On the way back home today, the idle rpm began fluctuating like crazy. Luckily, my mechanic was on the way back. He pulled the plug wires slightly off, just enough to see the current transferring. But there was barely anything for the middle plug. He then tuned off the car and took out plug and did something with it and put it back in. He checked the distributor and the car would begin to shudder, almost stalling when he moved it. He then put a screwdriver, from the firewall to the carburetor ad unscrewed a little and the car began to stabilize. He said something about the "jets" being blocked off intentionally and the carburetor requiring a thorough service on an asap basis. On the way back from him i took notice of how the revs would jump up during driving when foot was taken off the accelerator. (if the rpm was at 2, it'd jump up to 3 before coming back down) when the foot was taken off the accelerator and then come down as normal. before taking note of this the car felt like it was jerking and shuddering and literally and the jerks were so strongly felt through the car as if it was deciding against accelerating and was pumping on the brakes. By the time we got home, the idle rpm had gone upto 2000 and refused to come down. When parked, i used to white dial behind the air cleaner to drop the idle rpm which came down to 1500 but no more. (even after driving most of the day during this weather the temp needle did not rise over the black screw on the gauge) @Xulfiqar @omarabdullah022 @krafiq@sleeper . What are you guys' thoughts? What could this be, and how can it be fixed?
P:S. When i do make the switch to 10w40, other than changing the filters, should i change the oil pump? AS this one has been apparently been pumping oil too heavy for this car. How easy is it acess/change in general and is it at all necessary?
