Unfortunately, there's been no progress on the bodywork for the past 4 days. I have no updates to share.
The mechanic is also finding it tough to arrange a replacement engine block. I am not even sure if the project would be finished before Ramadan.

Trust me it won't finish Bhai it will take the whole month of Ramadan. Bhai take the block to shershah yourself and get one. It is not progressing because your denter know the guy comes once a week he is not in a hurry... You need to be constantly monitoring the progress. Constant monitoring was the whole point behind giving the near to where you live Bhai...

Visited the body guy on Thursday who promised to put the car in booth on Saturday. Today, I went to take a peek and I don't think he even touched the car after that commitment.

Engine is still to be sourced. I wish I had the time to venture out myself but I'd howl at the mechanic tomorrow.

So, the denting work is moving at a snail's pace hence, no real visual difference. The mechanic responsible for engine has 'fallen sick' and gone to his 'village'. The car is now scheduled to go to paint by Wednesday - which I highly doubt.

Interior guy has picked up seats and dashboard for rework.

whats the condition of ur cars engine. is it almost dead or what?

if it is in somehow working condition, then get the car completed. take the car and go to another mechanic to complete the remaining engine work.

The engine is out and disassembled. The head is irrecoverable and the block has cracks, bad shape. I intend to do just that if I don't hear from the mechanic before paint-time.

The salvaged frames from old doors are aligning better than the new ones. So, took the decision to use them instead of new ones. They will get new metal where there is rust.

Also, with these roadside guys, there's no concept of rust proofing. The rear panel above was silver when installed but nothing was done to prevent rust from developing. Behold....

it is no where near completion bhai. there is atleast a months work remaining before the Denting is finished and painting work will start. Do you ask him why the hell is the progress so slow. you supply him with adequate parts and money was also given in advance why the hell then is the work so slow.

this is surface rust but it will start corroding from the inside. buy the idiots some anti corrosive and tell them to apply it.

The progress is slow because they keep picking up small jobs while they know this one isnt going anywhere. In total, I think they have put one guy on this car for not more than 7 days. Painful, but that's how things are.

this is a better idea to use the original door frames. even u will find difficulty installing the outer handles in the new metal sheet because the shape of cups is different than the original cups.

moreover, safe ur dashbaord. it is in much better condition. it will get ruin by the abuse of dentars and the dust and heat.

Things moved fast yesterday. I ventured out for running some errands and managed to take a peek. They were busy preparing the engine bay and I could see all doors attached. Will visit tomorrow to get a better reading on the quality and list of work they have done. Karachi is fuming today.

Some good news finally, the car has gone for undercoat and primer. Will have some good updates on Saturday.
