Yes there are some quality issues in honda and suzuki bikes.
But atleast suzuki bikes have good features.
Glad to see that how you are updating yhis thread since few months continuously Nd also upgrading your bike for its gr8 future.

aoa....good thread sir......despite all differences bought gs 150 today.......really enjoyed it....but when i reached home just heard a tuk tuk sound from engine not that much loud but clearly audible.......is it the sound from tappets.....as they are loose

@basic, being in the same city as you, your post has inspired me to get GS 150, so I am getting one next weekend. I want add mods like rims, disk break or at least the fuel gauge.

Since the local mechanics that I know are either incompetent, thugs or incapable to understanding basic human language (if you know what I mean ), do you know if the guys at Suzuki service would add the mods for me if I buy and pay them to do so? And would they still honor the warranty?

IMHO don't alter your bike for at least first 6 months.

I think SUZUKI won't do any modifications.

My bike is doing good, its an average bike as a whole.

Dear Nadeem Bhaie,

It has been over a month that I have been constantly reading reviews and owner experiences about GS150. No matter how -ve the feedback is, I can not seem to get this bike out of my 41 yr old head. I have been looking for a ride to make short trips within the city and commuting to work (on pleasant days). I am a professional working in the textile sector and lead a busy life style like any other professional thereby not allowing time for frequent workshop visits....I know there are many other forums and heated discussions comparing GS150 wtih CG 125 euro 2 but I need you honest opinion from a single perspective i.e. QUALITY / RELIABILITY. I know both machines can not be bench marked against each other as both belong to a different category when it comes to size, features & engine performance but I need to know if I were to spend 0.1 M of my hard earned money on a 2 wheeler, which option would give me lesser headaches or to correctly put it, heartaches.

gs 150 is a really ugly looking bike!!I am using honda's bike since 2004 and getting its tuning and oil change at regular intervals is the only maintenance i do!! There may b a little bit of difference in performance but i don't care,I like to drive a bike which looks nice and give me no trouble at all!!

Really impressed by your dedication while maintaining your bike in a professional manner.

I have apprehensions regarding cleaning/washing Chain with kerosine or any other fluid, please note that chain consists of rollers and pins and grease is filled in these areas during assembly. When you wash the chain the grease is removed and the dirt penetrates the inner areas thereby deteriorating the chain.

Special chain lubes are available, which should be superficially sprayed on the chain.

I wouldn't seriously question the QUALITY as a Pakistani because in this country there is none
Ever since the industrial revolution, Pakistanis have seen the worse as our politicians are corrupt and industrialists are price-mongering drug lords. Why would I say such a thing? Simply, compare price and value of our motorbikes and Indian ones. You must be on drugs to ask for $1200 for a bike with literally very less safety and comfort features with cheap builds

There's no difference between a horse and jackass in this country. So, IMHO, get a bike which every GOOD and MATURE biker is getting.

That's GS 150 for me.
