Suzuki internal news regarding Wagon-R and Alto

if 850k is the confirmed price of the most basic model , rising upto 950k
and if it is without AC , as usual and parrallel to the previous alto line-up strategy .

then my friends , the 10% decline in the dollar has not been reflected in the price at all ,
what suzuki has done is that , they have maintained their previous marketing strategy in terms of features availability .

while at the same time , 5% of the dollar decline they have sent to the consumers pocket ,
and 5% they have kept it for themselves , as straight cash .

if the 850k base model was coming with an AC ,
then in that case it would have been a total consumer win win situation , as the decline in dollar would have been totally reaching the consumer ,

but , it didn't happen , we expected this .

apparently PS have played FAIR this time , ( keeping in view the international prices , and the heavy local duties and levies )
had the dollar not declined by 10% , and this same car without AC would have launched for 900k .

the maximum possibility was 800k for this car for the non-AC version ,
850 is still close .

this measure will collapse the sky high current prices of the the JDM wagon-R .
expect its market to fall 100k in the coming months .

so as they pay in dollars , to import the parts ,
they will have to utilize 10% less PKR , to pay them the amount ( for the assembly parts) .

simple .

as my source of information has already left Karachi for the launch event at Lahore ,
( its some dealership briefing seminar and dealership representatives are going apparently )

this one is indeed the better looking one ,
although i m not sure , but Indian forums indicate that this is the JDM wagon R ,

we dont know why cant the Japs introduce a uniform model throughout ,
its something else on the THAI side , something else on the Indian side , and something else on the European side , and something else in the USDM side ,

we can only guess that the difference is there due to variation in every markets strategy and demand and consumer taste , and dynamics ...

but ,

we can be pretty sure of 2 things here ....

1. This is not the one intended to be launched here , the Indonesian variant would be the one .
2. expect a face lift something similar to this to arrive in the coming few years , as it has happened with all PS cars .

so this one would/could be a WAGON-R ( reborn) for sure - for the future ,
but this is not the one that they are launching here ,

Suzuki Alto in last 3-4 years was only coming as VXR and VXR CNG, The last price for the petrol variant in 2012 was around 8 ish, Expecting a new model over all for the same price tag from a Pakistani assembler after 2 years is just a khush fehmi.

As trend of Suzuki Pakistan say's they will bring SX4, because this car will be replace soon in rest of the world.

^^ Suzukis best ever 1000cc car according to me was the Swift/Khyber. it was a hot seller. so was the Alto. but then Suzuki had their own issues why they had to discontinue the production.no company likes stopping products that give them profits.

Companies are going forward bringing up and adding up more features and Suzuki is busy on cutting the features and coming up with pathetic toyish built -- cheap stuff and that too on unreasonable price tag.Who on the earth will buy this car with this much price tag and that too without AC ,airbags etc with the toyish dashboard ,to be honest FX dashboard is more stylish than by thia model dinkie.Its fine we dont need buttons but atleast use some better freaking plastic.Isnt Jdm better than this?
