Just a suggestion.....

if u r getting this body work done, why not do these things for a change:

1) make space for seat belts for rear passengers.
2) make space for retractable seat belts if this model comes with manually adjustable seat belts

3) A little difficult but if ur dentar can do a good roof work, why not buy a sunroof and install it:

You can use the type of manual popup sunroof that comes in some models of charades and some other cars as per the pic and it can be sourced from shershah easily and will not be much expensive

Yes, for these rubber parts, visit Sagheer Centre, you will see many persons selling customized rubber on spot.

1 thing, in my car, painter also do this red astar zinc oxide/red oxide treatment also in space of under handles and under roof rail rubbers, both areas seems white/gray means no astar.

Anyways, now its the time to start recommending denter/painter for finishing your car ASAP.
It seems he has started multiple cars simultaneously so giving less attention to your car.

Today I visited the denter and pointed out some areas that need attention. About the the red oxide coating under the door handles and roof rail area, I pointed that out to the painter and he told me that sanding will be done first which will also remove most of the red oxide coating, then another layer of red oxide will be sprayed on the whole area.

1) I am also considering to install rear seat belts.
2) I will look for those seat belts. InShaaAllah
3) I think sun-roof will not look good in khyber (IMO). Also, I want to keep it close to original design as much as possible.

They should be available at Japan Plastic at Plaza.

InShaaAllah will also check out there. As @brownrose78 mentioned Sagheer Centre. The Denter also mentioned the same area. I will look there first as it is near.

Yes, Rear seat belts of Wagon R can be installed easily, also for front seats, you can install motorised seat belts used to come in old Corolla INDUS model 1993-2001.

Both can easily be found at Plaza Market as well as Shah Faisal & Sagheer centre Automotive markets

What is the update of your Khyber by now? Did you find the paint brand which you were looking for and that rust converter?? I think its the time to start overhauling work of your engine & transmission simultaneously.

If anybody is going Plaza or Shershah then inform me prior too, I have to buy some parts for my Khyber.

@brownrose78 Was busy with some work. so, could not upload.
Anyways, It is decided that painter will use Kapci for paint and rust converter will be used in some interior areas. Overhauling of engine and transmission will start in 1 week, I think.

Some Updates:

Outer Body sanded and primed. More sanding will be done and then one final layer of red oxide and primer will be sprayed.

Checking Panel gap:

Engine Room Sanded down. Was not able to take picture after complete sanding. Circled areas were properly sanded down to bare metal.

Engine room then first sprayed with one primer coat.

whats the condition of vehicle from underneath.

There some rust underneath the car. Chassis isn't cracked or anything like that but there is rust nonetheless.
Denter has already told us that he will first clear all the rust from underneath with copper wire brush and then spray some Autoshield paint mixed some thicker black paint. Finally, All wheel arches will be sprayed with white paint over this black AutoShield paint to give it more authentic look.

Depends upon the availability... They usually ask between 1500-2500.

Inside will be prepped last. After Daamar sheet is applied.
The denter's main focus now is to prep and paint engine bay. So, engine can be installed as it will go on engine power to paint booth.

Good but try to keep your engine specs. to Factory one as much as possible.
So the pipeline should be:
Overhauling & remaking of Engine
Overhauling of Transmission
Overhauling of Carburetor

From where, are you taking above services?

Have you already sourced that Rust converter?

Yes I am trying to get everything reassembled to factory specs. Carburetor was recently overhauled. I am overhauling the engine and transmission from a person referred by denter but keeping a close eye on him.
