Suzuki Khyber 1989 Restoration

Yup. It was thoroughly inspected and I know most of the areas were rust is being formed. That is why I am going through the pain of changing as much of the rusted parts as possible and coating it to prevent any future rust development.
I will apply undercoating to my other car also, I will mask off any electrical or rubber parts and also mask off exhaust pipe, use some rust converter on both cars then spray it with some coating. Generally, my other car is pretty much rust-free being 10 years old and driven in Karachi but planning on undercoating them both as a precautionary measure.

In my Khyber, I saw there are tiny leaves, stem and some big leaf with flowers stuck inside under this wiper grill which is almost next to impossible to remove from above grill openings so what is the idea to open it and remove that dirt from inside.

is your car missing the plastic mesh that goes under the slotted trays?

the way to remove that debris is to use a flexible air wand and blow them out from the side drains. - Or you can remove the side fenders and clean the drains out. They look like "ballooned" open seams.

remove the wiper motor and use air pipe to blow out the leaves and debris. then wash it and clean.

So, I went to Plaza, Karachi in search of parts, I went to Arafat Autos, Key Stone Autos, Nippon Autos; beside Arafat Autos, Barkat Autos and various neighboring parts store.
Below is my parts list and Arafat Autos price were most reasonable.
1. Bonnet - Taiwan - 15000 - was very hard to find, only 1 shop had stock
2. Left front Fender - Taiwan - 15000 for pair, not sold separately - was very hard to find, only 1 shop had stock
3. Headlights - Taiwan Depo - 6300 for pair - Asked shops for Stanley or TYC but there response was, Stanley lights originally came with khyber but they do not make them anymore and About TYC, TYC does not manufacture Khyber lights.
4. Tail Lights - Taiwan Depo - 3300 for pair
5. Fender Indicator Lights - Gold Star Local - 200 for pair
6. Front Bumper Indicator Lights - Gold Star Local - 400 for pair
7. Front Bumper - HID Thailand - 1300
8. Rear Bumper - HID Thailand - 1300

Weren't Khyber headlights made by Koito? or were there original stanley headlights as well?

For some reason, I always thought that stanley makes headlights for Honda only.

P.S: I got local headlights for my khyber and they have issues wit adjustment. My car's left headlight illuminates towards the left and not in a straight line, no matter how much I adjust using the adjustment screws on the headlight. So make sure the headlights you get can illuminate the road in a straight line.

Yup! to my surprise too. I heard from someone mechanic or my friend that bumper will cost around 2800

Do not know about original headlight manufacturer. These are the words of shop keepers in plaza. Maybe both brands manufactured headlights for Khyber as Khyber was sold with different names in different parts of the world.
In the past, about 6 or 7 years ago locally manufactured headlights were installed in my Khyber due to lack of knowledge, there adjustability was terrible and after sometime (2 or 3 years) the inner reflective material started catching rust.

All rhd cars headlamps will shoot a diagonal beam that flicks up to the left of the car,

Lhd cars do opposite,

It can be seen in a dark night usually when aiming headlights. This “left flick” on your car is to illuminate road signs.

However if you do full beam you should having a straight projection

This thing is not known to many car owners here.......i bet.

Logo ko yeh pta nahe hota ka normal roads per high beam per car use nahe kertey but here it is like a prime thing to drive car with full highbeam and sadly most of them are toyota corolla and aqua owners. some suzuki every owners do this as well

i did it last it when i got my friends car washed thoroughly. i asked the service guy to take off the motor, he was watched me like i was an alien. so i had to take it out and had it washed and cleaned.

How much trash did you flush out from that tray?

I recall mechanics doing this cleanup job on old 20, 30 and 70 series corolla and also old mazda and datsuns.

This was the cause of “per pe pani aaraha hai barish ka” and all shops knew to clean this. Some sprayed oil on there too and stunk the car to high heavens. Lol

It was full belive me with leaves, dust and debris. Moreover the guy parked his car where a home was being constructed.....so it had cement and gravel pieces also....

After service the car came out clean surprisingly........from the inside. Then we also washed out the ac blower to get rid of debris and leaves that were inside.

The work has slowed quite a bit for the past 1 week or so because the pandemic. Today I went to buy rear wheel well (Left and Right). I am finding a bit hard to find Taiwan made bonnet and fender. Only 1 shop had it in Plaza and it was quite a bit expensive and they were selling fenders in set. Also, I am unable to find any stock anywhere. The denter is emphasizing on these parts as no alteration or setting is required in these parts and they are rust proof. Anyways, below is the progress.
