They talk crap.. ask them how they check the mileage and they se 500 ke petrol mein itna chalai main ne...
Go for stock engine with a possible electronic steering for easy driving...

Yesterday, My brother visited AC expert. He is educated and literate person with DAE degree and is technically very sound. He told us about AC options in Khyber and said that with khyber original compressor(used) and all other parts new it will cost around 26K with fitting, hoses, wiring, etc. and with Duet compressor(used) and all other parts new it will cost around 28k. He also said that you can also get new compressor made in China for 2-4k additional cost but it is not reliable. Below are pictures attached of part ( P.S. these are not actual parts that will be installed, they are just for reference).

Yes Indeed I would not install parts in this condition.
These are old faulty parts disassembled from some vehicle.

As I told you, I have installed similar setup same in 28K from Bashir A/C almost 10 months ago.

So price seems Ok. Also confirm model number of used compressor, Brand of multiflow condensor, brand of drier, evaporator etc.

How much will be warranty?

i own a khyber 1999 model runing on petrol. engine is not stock rather overhauled. my khyber gives me an average of around 12 in city with a light foot driving. averages greater than that are not practical.

Will do InShaAllah! Once car is in driveable condition and we have finalized our decision to install AC then InShaAllah will dig deep into details like brand, warranty, etc.

Are you fabticating your engine to 0.5 or 0.25 piston profile and from where you are doing this all mechanical work?

I got new Chinese aftermarket compressor for my car and it wasn't good. Then I went for a kabli compressor which worked fine and better than the new one for 2 seasons. Now the bearing has worn out and haven't repaired it. As per my experience the new Chinese compressors are not good enough. Try and get a clean kabli compressor.

Also when getting the AC installed give due attention to the blower under the dash. Mine never fits perfectly with the pipes and gets lose after a while and needs to be readjusted and tightened again. It might be due to faulty connection mechanism on mine, but just in case have that checked, so that it remains firmly in place and the air pressure at vents is not compromised due to the loose blower under the dash.

Noted! JazakAllah. The AC repairman and @brownrose78 also advised to install Kabli compressor because chinese counterparts are unreliable.

@brownrose78 Engine work will start when engine room is nearly complete. Engine will be profiled to 0.5. The mechanic is near to my denter and denter will tell him when to start work. After which, he will dismantle the engine and parts list will be made and sourcing will start.
Other than that, about other parts like interior, lights, bonnet, fender etc. I will go to Plaza next week InShaAllah.

No going to install new roof but will consult more with denter. Was thinkin about welding it to one piece as shown by @brownrose78 in another restoration thread.

Have these quarter glass moldings taken off and the edges treated by removing rust and getting them painted. In my case these moldings weren't taken off and the car was painted. Now when I wash the car, paint/rust debris comes out from under there. Rust is visible so it would be better to take off these quarter glass moldings now for a clean fit and finish.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes I know exactly what you are saying. Once all Interior, exterior doors, bonnet, fenders, etc. and Engine bay are treated and welded. all glasses including windshield, rear window and all quarter glass will be dismantled, treated and welded. Then interior and undercoating will be applied and car then will be sent for baked paint in remaining area.
