That could have been because of water getting into your distributor during service.
Never use high pressure water jet for servicing your engine.
You could have opened the distributor and checked the inside for any moisture.

@Daniyal: Then how to get the engine comartment cleaned..the guys at the Wash only know to wash it with the pressure pipes....

70% heatup cases are caused due to a choked radiator.
Get your radiator serviced and then check the results.

Got the radiator changed...it was damaged beyond service....also got the gasket changed.....

If you notice some improvement then it is sucking more air then required.
About the availibility of air filter then in Rawalpindi you can get the complete new assembly for air filter.
You check your local spare part dealers for the lid.
You can check scrap yards too.

Wash it, but donot wash it with pressure jet.
You can use water but high pressure water is not reccomended.
Tell the service station guy not to use high pressure water jet on the engine.

It is just beneath the steering wheel.
The choke lever is on the right side of the rear defogger switch.

There is a problem with my ride. Whenever I start my car , temperature needle go little above the middle and stops there. I have driven the car even arround 350 K.M but needle was exacly there, where it was at beginning of my traveling. Is there any suggestion for it. Is it OK or not. please guide me

Its perfect. the cars are designed to maintain there temperature at optimum level visually its the center of the temp gauge.

keep your car away from local mechanic or you will have your thermostat removed and radiator fan directed.

If your engine is ok and your cooling system i.e radiator,water pump, etc are working properly then you need to get your fan connected through thermostat switch and also install the Tstat to keep engine at proper operating temperature at all time regardless it is winter or summer.

if you run your engine with direct fan you will have
1. problem in starting the car in morning with radiator fan using up the current.
2. less stable engine
3. less fuel efficient engine
4. more pollutive exhaust
5. more condensation in the crankcase
6. more sludge in the oil
7. more chances of failure of radiator fan motor

your choice !

I would never recommend a direct fan on any car engine.

yup meri khyber ka fan direct tha and starting men bht problem karti the gari. then abhi mene autometic system krvaya hai fan ka. now its ok. phle gari fuel average bhi bht kharab de rahi the but now its so goood, direct fan ki waja se always batry low hojati hai foran

to get best perfroance and millage enine need certain temperature around 90c degree....making it direct fan never allow the temperature to each certain level

thus u get bad performance low millage on petrol..

plus in winters it will take alot of time to get engine Hot...which is not good

direct fans are only good..if you can control them from inside

like i have switch inside my car..i turn it off when starting in winters and normally..and will turn on as it gets to a good temperature

Rozz bhai aap ne fan automatic kyu nahi krwaya?
My khyber middle spark plug gets oil when ever i clean it.rest 2 plugs remain dry.
What could be the reason?

oil must be coming from top...

rest for radiator...even with direct my temperature goes half while moving around...so auto is not good option..i control it my self

guys need help

i just removed the sound system....now the pre is out and every thing behind the pre is visible....do you guys have anything in mind to cover it

secondly dont have CNg..how should i cover the hole at fueling point which was done to point the CNG..and the inside shield is also damged ...what is the cost of replacing it

You can get a black/grey plastic plate which matches the dashboard colour.
The ones we use for number plates.
You can stick it with double tape and can be removed whenever you re-install the pre.

Leave it as it is or just cover it with some white tape of good quality and you are good.
As far as the inside plastic shield is concerned that can be repaired and filling can be done to cover the hole.

Today I have opened the bonnet of my Khyber to see the situation and I was very much amused to see that there is no leakage around tappet nuts at all. The tappet cover is clean.
These washers are of good quality.
Finally I get rid of this problem.

I got them today from Kiyani Autos.
Pictures attached.

Oh and its time for a tune-up!
