Suzuki Liana RXI ignition coil

Hello all, would really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

I have a 2006 rxi liana with co. Fitted cng. The car has been running greatly until recently.

In september my car gave me problems while driving on cng..during driving in the 2-3 gear it seemed the car wasnot getting enough cng and suddenly a spark would be heard. Got the car checked by suzuki and was told that the ignition coils are bad...so got it changed from the marker.

At the same time, the compressor of the ac also makes strange noises as if its jammed or something. Suzuki told me to get it replaced also, but due to shortage of cash did not.

A few backs the problem is back with the coils. The strange part is that happens on petrol as well. Have gotten the cng tunning tested from two dealerships.

My question.

1. Whats causing this ignition coil going bad again and again.
2. Any suggestions for a good mechanic / source to get good coils at good price in khi.
3. What to do with the ac, the compressor costs me around 23k,ignition coils 18k

i have close to 86k kms on this car in two yrs, lot of running btw hub and khi.

Any suggestions/comments would be highly appreciated.

i had the same misfiring problem with my dads baleno thats usual aftter servicing, went to khan motors he straigt forward said 10k ka kharcha hai krana hai krao wrna jao

i noe another guy is sujjested me to change the plugs to BOsch 4 pins and Allah ka shukaar hai its fine till date covered over 108500 Kms Since July 2005. hoe it stays okay, recently got the fuel motor relaced costed 18000 orignal due to non avalibility got BOSCH germany 2500 it may b jalli, now 2 of the fuel injectors are dead new one costs 11000 each while XLIs cost 6000 to 8000.

^ same problem wid my frndz baleno.it was fine until he got its engine washed one day nd then the car made them spend 8k on it.

@^ Btw washing ur engine bay with water is not recommended especially in EFI cars

but still, this is wid every after market cng baleno, jst tell ur friend not to get water on the cng kit and the plugs wires and coils, as baleno Jxr , jxl, sports models 02+ models dunt have distributors, have calm shaft sensors, and 2 plug wires and 2 coils,

I REPLACED THE PLUGS TO THE DENSO ONES.

NEVER HAD MY CAR WASHED FROM THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE.

WILL TRY THE BOSCH PLUGS, JUST GOT THESE FOR MY BROTHER'S CITY.

There is a guy in korangi area who used to work for pak suzuki, i dun have his contacts right now, but he once brought back a dead Baleno (wiring burnt) to life, suzuki people asked 10's of thousands, he did it for 1 - 2k
I can ask his contacts if you want to !

whatever the problem is..although I am not able to understand it thouroughly...but one thing for sure...something is going wrong in the wiring you rathar get a well reputed electrcian to fix it and avoid dealership..

moreover one more thing, please note that in any case, I am sure you would not need to replace your compressor INSHALLAH and this kind of absurd advise would have been given to you by a f****n 3s dealer.....avoid 'em

@Faysal_24, that Electrician's contacts were given to me by my Mechanic Irshad (No.1 Mechanic for Daewoo Racers sits near Friend's CNG, you must have seen plenty of daewoo racers there).
Just talked to Irshad and he said he has No contacts with that guy for a long time, told me to send that Liana to him and he will guide you what to do next.
Now, Irshad is a very good mechanic but has become little heavy on pocket, its upto you now to contact him or not, would be cheaper than the pak suzuki people and i dont think he will work on your liana himself, he ll send you to some other Suzuki knowhow guy, his contact number is:

Get a second opinion on the problems that u r facing.. I really doubt that the compressor can go bad in such a new car (86k is nothing) and the same applies to the ignition coils. Ofcourse it all depends on how well the car was maintained. In any case u should get a second opinion. I do suggest however, that you do go for original (OEM) genuine parts.

My ignition coil went bad too but I replaced it @ 80k i.e., few days back. Ignition coil can only go bad due to water otherwise there is no other reason. Use original spark plugs (denso) dont wash ur engine bay at all not at home too.

and as for the compressor get ur belts replaced fan belt and generator belt with the original ones and hopefully your problem will go away.

i.e. dont take car into deep waters in Karachi rains otherwise be ready to change ur starter coils regularly and also get your tappets adjusted if you havent got them done.

If you use CNG, then try using a hotter plug

No. 5 for NGK and No.16 for Denso.

Also reduce plug gap for better firing with less voltage required from the coil on the ignition pulse.

Another good idea, which seems to work on 6 cars I have tried it on is to use a grounding kit to ground different parts in the engine bay and the negative terminal of the battery.

The problem with Maxilane is that they dont take any sort of guarantee for electrical parts....but neither does any one else....
Still having the same problems...I am used to these jerks in my car now on CNG.

I also got the same problem with ignition coils in my liana 2006, but the problem started by having an engine wash, i replaced plugs with NGK and got my coils insulated with tape and silicon from gulshane shamim (SHELL), now Alhamdulillah coils are working perfect.
