Suzuki swift bad fuel consumption

salam everyone
i have 2012 suzuki swift from the last 2 years a total geniune car mashAllah kept it with extreme care and love. i have noticed that my car's fuel consumption is bad now. last time i have filled my tank of 30 liters(supreme petrol). it did 260 kmwith ac till reserve level. i have changed tires size 195/65/15. what should i do to improve fuel consumption?

195/65 will definitely bring down mileage. 185/65 come built in genuine and give 12kmpl on high octane and full ac. I presume if a 175/65 profile is available it might give 13-14kmpl in similar conditions. Experts to comment, but it will result in lack of traction

I am also using same profile .its nt tyres issue . It has something to do with your engine tuneup and clogged catalytic convertver .get everything checked up btw my Swift is giving me 13-14 kmpl in City with AC .

Thanks for your reply sir. My engine is all well tuned up by suzuki motors Alhamdulliah. Car is all good in performance.My car is heavy on petrol i dont know the reason. Everything has been checked up recently.

My car is well tuned that it can beat 1.6 new altis till the end of 2nd gear and i drive it on high octane though

Thanks for the information. I always like putting wider tires in my vehicles but to be honest upgrading a tires size doesnot matter that much and you get a great benefit that you get better road grip.

Bro there is something must be wrong wuth ur car. Mine swift worst mileage on long is 14+ tested many many times with auto stop filling method.

Bhai is m gari ki kya ghalti. Use 5w30,10w40(recommended ny company) or 5w40.

Change air filter, spark plugs to iridium or platinum ones and get throttle body serviced.

I have the exact same issue with my Swift. I have 2012 model, 80K done. Same Tire size 195/65. Fully services but no matter how i drive it It give me 300 or 330 max in tank. I never drive it on reserve as well. I use 30% High octane and 70% regular.

I have update plugs to platinum, throttle body fully serviced. Only thing left is to get it checked from Suzuki center so they can hook up the computer and scan it.

If someone can recommend any good mechanics in Islamabad that would be great.

At what rpm do you change gears?

I used to at 3000 or 4000 as that's just how I drive but I changed that and now I change it on 2000 or 2500 max. I bought the car last year and it was giving me 500 plus on a tank easily.

This just started happening couple of months ago and its getting worse. I have tried changing the petrol station as well but i can't seem to get a break. I use liqui moly 10w 40.

Get your catalytic converter checked, it might be choked.

Recommended one is 10W40

Either use it or 5W40

Use synthetic instead of minerals based.

2000 is just fine with adequate power required intercity get your car checked at suzuki and catalytic converter also checked.
