Update on my previous detailed post regarding wipers rubber change
The rubber of one blade got torn off within 2months so as i was already going to 3s for brake pad replacement i got the cultus wioers which costed around 1100 as swift wioers were too expensive and not available as well

Hi My swift is 28000 driven its a 2018 model currently using 10w40 SGO , can someone please recommend what’s the best oil I can use for this car and which brand. Also for performance which oil viscosity is the best 10w or 5w and is it safe to swift from 10w to 5w. Thanks

i want to install cruise co.trol in jdm swift it has k12b engine and 2007 model
can anyone plz guide me regarding the ecu ,if its compaitable and how to check also it already has multimedia and clock spring

I have not seen any swift JDM or of any other market that has cruise so most probably you wont be able to install cruise control

I’ve heard that using a thicker oil for eg. 10w will cause slightly more wear in the engine than 5w and since the car is not so old I’m thinking of switching to 5w

you can if you want to. According to the chart, 5w and 10w both are good options.

I changed to 10W40 and now feeling that 5W30 was much better proposition in terms of start up sound (may be my own feeling as my colleague says it is the same). It is always a trade off as higher viscosity suits crank and related parts. Thinner oils helps pistons to move more freely with less hindrance hence better economy.

In my opinion it is better to pour 5W30, keeping in view urban ride with short hauls and even if otherwise.

I sometimes have to drive more so I think I’ll finally be changing my oil to 5w40
