Thanks for the useful guidance. It would be a little difficult to switch to any brand other than Yokohama at the moment. The thing to decide is between Advan DB and BlueEarth. Heard that BluEarth are a little hard but suitable to the local climate while Advan are one with reduced noise and increased comfort.

Don’t even think of comparing BlueEarth with Advan DB. I had Blueearth installed in my mira. Just go for Advan DB its the best

Where can I get 7D mats? Unlike the new Swift, had a difficult time searching on the internet as some website mentions 2010-2017 with a picture of local Swift RS and 2010-2021 with the Swift AZG which was never launched here. Tried contacting them, but not helpful. Can't take a risk on international stores.
Is there any shop that can locally make one, especially in Karachi?

I don’t think anyone in Pakistan makes it. Go to RIMPA PLAZA ground floor there are big distributors of all types of mats

go with Advan Db. cannot compare it with Blue Earth, using Advan Db in my swift from last 2 years, smooth ride, no noise and excellent road grip

Anyone having experience of using Kixx PAO 5w-40 Fully Synthetic oil in Suzuki swift 2013?

Yes i have also used it but i was specifically asking about kixx 5w-40. Myself started using zic 5w-40 since 2013 then tested both caltex and shell 5w40 and liked shell one and then kept using shell for 3yrs. Now since shell was not available i bought kixx 5w40 although i have not poured it yet.

Kixx is a very nice oil brand. you can use it with peace of mind.

Thinking to shift from 5w40 (using since i bought my swift in 2013 till now) to 5w30!! Any experience? Because as per book and company rep there should be no issue!??

Using 5W30 in my '14 swift since day 1. No issues whatsoever

using 5w40 in my 16 Model swift since day 1.

Initially I used Liqui Moly 5w40 Synthoil High Tech (Fully Synthetic), Drain Interval 7500 KMs for approx 80,000 KMs (4 years)

Then I switched to Valvoline 5w40 SynPower (Fully Synthetic), Drain Interval 7500 KMs

if there is no issue with your car with 5w30 then there is no need to switch to 5w40

Hello Guys I need some help.
I've suzuki swift DLX 2013 and has upgraded music system but still using stock headunit.
I've decided to change it's headunit to Alpine INE-ax709 (imported). As it is touch screen so I want steering controls for this as well.
Just saw these multimedia buttons for swift (pic attached) on aliexpress. Please guide me if it will work fot me, what alterations I've to make for this.
Or do I've any other option available here. Specially in Karachi.

First you have to change the steering coil (as known as chakri) in the steering which include the multimedia buttons wires support, default one has two pins only, for Horn only 1 pin is used (blue color wire with white grip), this multimedia supported coil will have 6 pins an grip has 5 wires,

Remove the steering wheel, remove the default steering coil and install multimedia supported steering coil.

you need to connect the steering coil's two wires to headunit's grip. consult the head unit installation manual for that.

if the buttons support backlit then you have to connect 1 wire to parking light as well.

better to go to any multimedia auto shop. they will handle it easily.

you can get the steering coil from any used part market. it will cost you between 1000 to 1500 PKR, make sure it comes with the grip otherwise you have to solder the wires to pins which is not recommended.

Hi guys,

I own a Swift 2017 Auto Navigation.

My AC vents above Android head unit are broken from inside and knobs are not connected so I am not able to control the direction of air through them. I am not talking about circular side vents. They are fine.

Is there anyway I can get them in Karachi. Local mechanic told me they are not easily available and can try luck at plaza.
