lets leave the swift vs vitz battle asides..its a matter of preference actually
@all vitz fans, I agree the car has better built quality alongwith auto transmission, airbags, pretensioner's, and other features and a good buy but only if you can get untempered and untouched car, which is not easy. Sometimes car that are accidented badly in Japan, are sent here to PK and sold off as totally new cars. Secondly the car is used.

you guys are quoting information about international variants of the swift, all the information does not apply to the Paksuzuki version..do remember than unfortunately paksuzuki version has gotten the VVT feature from the M13A engine removed.
Let me also tell you if you notice the paint of swift deck starts to deteriorate over time, this is because its actually the deck is the the silver decks that came with Liana. Paksuzuki used low quality black spray paint being the cheapsters they are... Its the same old stock of JVC decks that were lying around in Paksuzuki factory for several years, they simply decided to paint it as pass it off as new..JVC does not produce/market this model in black color!
Paksuzuki even removed rear wiper from the swift, you never know which in which other ways they have compromised on the quality of this otherwise good car. One also has to accept the fact that production of this model of stopped has now stopped, and from this month the all new swift will go on sale in Japan and UK, and eventually in other countries including India by the end of the year. So paksuzuki is providing an old model for a very high price with downgraded technology..
I fully agree its a very good car but not in the hands of Paksuzuki !

its not possible that 90% of the components of the car are imported. This is simply a method used by sales people in dealerships to sell their car. All assemblers in Pakistan have a follow a government deletion policy under the auto industry development program. I posted a link few months bak, when the swift was launched it has between 20-30% Localization, the figure may have increased by now.
