thx brother for encouragement, realy need that.

on 27th we had assembled the engine and did the service of break lines and cylenders alongwith replacement of hand break cable. as it was late on the 27th night and fog in Lahore was getting dense so we decided to call it a day and will start engine tommorow with some attachement pending to it.
on 28th engine was injected into the transmission and there was a smile on my face, and i said Masha Allah. everything was attached to engine except for self. than shock came to us the junior guy bolting the self was asked by senior mistry oye, did you put spacer to self before bolting it in and he replied naye ustad g...:(.
it was 5:00 and we all started searching for the spacer for self but could not find and it was sunday also so cant purchase from market either.
Man proposes God disposes. I came home without hearing the sound of my mog. but m satisfied with work done so far.

Today Rizwan bhai (cotec) came to see the progress on unimog punga project, it was a short but conclusive meeting. we discuss the project and in the end as usual some tips from his side.
I remember the day I made the deal of unimog, Rizwan bhai was with me. he was supportive all the way.

DeeDee, it is nice to see your project getting close to fruition. Also, I am glad that your “senior mechanic” had the presence of mind to catch the mistake. I hope the engine fries up on first crank.

Sir the senior mistry told me that he also had learnt from same mistake on dozon of unimogs. without this part the self will destroy the fly wheel as well as self itself. as i have replaced both with new ones.
all is well the ends well.

thx aisheikh for the anoucement of successful egine operation.

I came late yesterday rather today because it was 3:00pm when i reached home. it was the first rain of 2009 and Allah showered his blessing on the project and engine started on the first egnition. some relief to me.

Also on first ingnition, my father offer everybody cigarettes to celebrate the success (it was 12:35 midnight). interesting part of it that he offered me cigarette as well and for the first time we smoke together.
