DeeMog glow plugs changed....
why one of the glow plug melted like this.... please comment.... (remember we are talking about geniun german plugs not the daisi one... also 24v)

thats caused by bad injector spray pattern, diesel fuel spray is literally hitting the glow plug, remove nozzles and carefully inspect them on the pop tester. with that much soot on the plug threads - please use copper antisieze on them when you put them back.

Country Boy;) the only function of the glowplug in a Diesel engine is to heat the AIR in the inlet manifold - not the fuel before it is injected into the combustion chamber in the last few millimetres of the compression stroke . The air is heated instantly to around 600 centigrade ( the flash point of diesel) to assist the combustion on initial startup.

The picture above shows the glow plugs wear out due to the reason of running them a lot or trying to start a vehicle with not fuel.

Also glow plugs wear out due to the burn out of the inner heater core due to excess current flow. Check wiring Harness & glow plug timer.

The glow plugs in this engine are housed inside the combustion chamber right beneath the injector nozzles - and are no way in the inlet manifold.

Their purpose is to heat the combustion chamber aiding in heating the compressed air for diesel to get to ignition temperature as soon as it is sprayed.

What you are reffering to is usually found in industrial diesels which usually use no Glow plugs - but have heating elements in the inlet ram pipes to supply HOT air into the cylinders - same effect - different approach

thanks for your input brother and i find it convincing to double check injectors being replaced recently and have only done 2000km but mostly on high revs .

and this COPPER ANTISIEZE term is new for me. need more details on it....

Rim size seems 16 and i have seen a lot of same tires in lahore....
now this is called Handsome . i have seen R20 on surf but they all were with low profile tires and only looks fancy.... this one got some fat to play in Mud and Rock.... thanks for sharing SK.... but after looking at the 16.5 hummer 37inchers on Docs ride i am convinced doing the centering on them....
