Tempered Car Issue Please need urgent help

Salam!
Guys I bought toyota Corolla altis 1.6 pervious year on 4.jan.2019
From dera ismail khan from one of my friends ka friends
But after one month I shifted to Islamabad and living there till now
But 3 days ago i saw same toyota corolla white 1.6 altis 2015 with same number as mine
I start worring so i ask someone to check my car chases and all he checked and said this car chases is tempered and full illegally
I didnt transfer car on my name and bought on open transfer
But i have sale agreement in which he clearly mentioned that i will be responsible for any problem in documents
So my first question is being responsible for documents also means being responsible for tempering issue as well?
But later on i found that is this document card is fake as well
But it as been one year
So I contacted him and ask him that this is the issue
At first he said i m not responsible for tempering issue
Then i said ok if u say this but your card is also fake
I parked my car somewhere safe and not driving it at all
So what should i do now should i file an FIR against him?
Because i want my money back asap and cant wait longer
I have everything stamp paper agreements and car is in same condition as before
And ya he said he will contact previous owners and will let me then and then will decide what to do
I said i cant give you more than one and half week
Because i am at risk for having the car
Khuda na khosta if police get the car then it will be another issue
So please guys i need seriously help

Dont you worry, the previous owner ia fully responsible for the car and papers, if he is not agrred to pay the money, lodge a report in police, it will be time taking but there is no other solution. Moreover, be ready for paying a lot of Rishwat to police in order to persue your case. You CANNOT, i repeat CANNOT even think how they will empty your pocket. Keep it in mind, there is nothing like LAW prevails in this country. Whoever gives more money decision will be on his side.

i ll ask you to better solve the issue calmly without involving any resources

or else simply use your all resources to get FIR..
the more you have strong resource less time will required to settle the issue.

Also involve the owner of 2015 model car. He should be equally worried. I know he is not liable but would any of us let it go if another car with the same registration etc was roaming around on fake papers? This will definitely put double pressure on him.

I am sure the other car is genuine that is why I proposed involving him so that he has to pay the police less money (the other guy will either definitely pour in some money or involve a sifarish). Even If the car is impounded (which police will in any case) the problem of duplication stays so that needs to be hammered in the mind of the "genuine owner".

@consigliori sir @jstblaze10 should firstly reach out to his friend who sourced the car for him. it is far better to resolve the issue peacefully rather than being adherent!

i am quite sure that the previous owner knew that the car had fake documents & registration and the current owner must have gotten it a little cheaper than the market value.

if the problem is not resolved you have two choices! either you report the car to the authorities in which case the car will be confiscated and you will get nothing except khuwari, if the owner has some sources in Excise he should consider getting the car legalized which is not possible!

Else if you can bear atleast half of the cars worth, scrap the damn thing out and sell it as parts!

And i think he is going in for 420 case
Which is non bailable FIR
I give him 1 week time which is enough in my eyes
To contact previous owners
Now we will sit and talk in jirga at sunday
I want my money back with is 20 lakh
I didn’t ask for today market rate which is quite high for bumber to bumber clean 2015 altis
I cant receive below that

You car is in same condition nothing change not even one bit

I gave him 1 week time
To resolve issue with previous owners
After that i want my money back which is 20 lac and not asking for today market price
Even which is proposal i will lose around 3 to 4 lac
But still i want my money back in 2 to 3 days
After that i m going to file proper FIR
In which he clearly mentioned that i am fully responsible for everything which is documents ur any other wrong doing
I asked someone and he said its clear cut case Of 420,421 and 422
First on is for selling illegal car
Second is for saying his documents are fully original and its not
He will be in lot of trouble
So he will never let you go For FIR
And will pay you
