Seems to be a nice choice but which UPS you bought 600 or 820 as 600 is too small for 200amp battery. Also post some pictures of the package. Have you checked the maximum load it can take. Because the local 1000watts UPS seem to die with 5 fans on i.e just 400 watts load. If 600w can run 4 fan and 4 light than its not expensive because the 1000-1200 watts available in market runs same load and available in range of 12000-15000 and that too modified sine wave. If its true than I am going for it when I will change my batteries next time, because these chinnese ups also take a lot of current to charge. My 1000 watts ups takes up around 3-3.25 amp when on charge that means 650-700 watts and that is too much

Yes, EcoStar is fine choice, its build quality tell you the truth plus strong after sales support
We installed 1000 Watts, 2 battery option recently, its cost was about Rs 20,000
The cable you have selected is not good, these Rs 7 per meter cables are just ordinary china copper cables, you may opt for full coil of any good brand pure copper cable, that seems expansive but justified for long run and with this type of UPS

1 32 LCD=120 watts
5 savers=120 watts
480 watts not bad at all, rather I would say superb. The weight difference in your homeage might be due to homeage being an inverter without transformer and this a UPS with a transformer

Every chinese UPS has a transformer. The only difference in weight due to transformer size. In chinese UPS, the frequency is made high (in KHz range) so the tranformer size reduces drastically.

If u have a DC clamp meter, then please check the no load current of Ecostar UPS when working in UPS mode. You will be shocked that it would have been drawing (indeed wasting) almost 2.5 to 3 amperes @ NO load state. Due to bigger size of transformer, this loss cant be minimized. However, in small sized(chinese) UPS, the NO load current is less than 0.5 Ampere.

Bro he wrote 17 rs per metre and in that rate you can buy single 3/0.0029 wire or may be double 3/0.0020 wire of good quality like newage,pakistan

Backup depends on the batteries. The more you put, the longer your backup will be.

Hi,

I have decided to purchase a Sinewave UPS Rating 3KVA and came across some people selling used APC smart UPS. Any body having any experience with used APC UPS, your feedback would be highly appreciated.
I am well aware of APC's remarkable reputation but used goods market in our country is pretty dodgy. My second choice is Twister Power Bank Twister. I was going to go for Prodigy UPS, Local brand with office at Walton Road Lahore cantt but the response from those guys was oathetic so i decided against it.

Branded UPS"s always break down. Plus they dont have any service, I am using a locally manufactured UPS for the past 5 years and it has been working like a charm. We have 2 units and require just change of battery water every one-Two months and battery replacement every 2 and a half years. The guy who installed it is a UET graduate and always comes personally if there is any problem, he is extremely courteous and does a wonderful job. I am sorry but I cant quote the company here as this is against the rules of this forum but if anyone is interested u can PM me, I will give his contact details. His UPS company is based in lahore

I have been using APC from last 4 years. So far very much satisfied. Previously I was using 2200W model. But its was burnt by the mistake of my staff. Now using 1900W model . Both were of 48V . Pretty happy with their performance.

Yes, certainly second hand . APC ups are very good but little delicate. They are software based so if current output gets disturbed due to some faulty battery its software get corrupt and you have to reinstall the software. Its very rare but it happens.once or twice a year. On the contrary they are pure shine wave, don't drain the batteries, my previous set of batteries last over 2.5 year. Obviously water level of batteries checked every week and top up with home made distilled water. Suggest you get them from your home town as if some problem rises you can correct it from the very same vender. One more thing its repair cost is bit high as compared to others . Eg average repair bills varies between 2.5 to 4k. Depending upon how much your vender is honest to you.
