Inverex had a huge fire at their warehouse in Korangi Karachi, 3 sections of new hardware were totally destroyed.

These fires are quite common in Pakistan, during time of financial stress for a company.

Thanks alot. Quotations have considerably gone up in Lahore after June i.e. 1700K+.

A number of vendors quote Schneider circuit breakers but have heard that genuine ones are hardly available so one should be careful with that.

Your vendor (Mudassir) has not responded to my calls twice and no whats app response with regards to a quotation since we last spoke on the phone 3-4 days ago. Don't mean to sound rude as you've given me good advice and a reference but I can only imagine if calls are being ignored how the after sales support will be : ( Could you provide me his companies profile so I may contact another person from their team i.e whats the company name ?

His companys name is Solar Ventures Pakistan and has a partner in Lahore as well.

BTW I bought equipment for 3 projects for family and friends. You can save alot if you buy equipment and install yourself or hire installer. For net metering you have to take services of approved vendor.

Pretty vague question without detailed specs but it’ll cost around 15-25 lac depending on whether you mean an on-grid or a hybrid system. Panel quality, inverter brand, vendor / contractor , net metering or not. All will affect the price.

Update: Well guys this is just ridiculous considering DHA EME rejected the solar net metering application.

Since when DHA decides who gets net-metering and who doesn't, they can't even spell "REJECTED". Seems fake or something's not right.

DHE EME was an acquisition of EME and that society might have its own power station/grid. E.g. Valencia has its own power grid as well, it manages net-metering and charges its own electricity rates as well.

Other DHAs that are serviced by LESCO don't have this issue of approval from DHA.

This is no simple answer of that. I have share main equipment rates, rest is structure, breakers, wires, installation cost and net metering fee , earthing expense etc

I just wrote about general details of 10kw hybrid system with a company profile and some contact numbers thinking after submission and acceptance further details will be required and the file will be ratified finalising the solar system installation. What baffles me is they didn't reject it based on insufficient information provided but on some bullshit capacity limit which makes sense since DHA and LESCO have no issue hoarding money from the jacked up prices they charge at 33rs/unit.

What is the average price per unit if you just do
Total final bill amount / Total units ?

For iesco my last two months average comes up to 45rs/unit after you take into account all the BS 20 or so taxes and duties.

Which kind of makes me happy as that makes the full ROI on my solar setup 3-4 years max even when accounting for the jacked up inverter prices and the contractor commission.

This is my current nov bill here in khi which is approx 28rs / unit with a negative fuel surchage of 2.5rs / unit applied.

Obviously this is much higher in the summer months.
