Wow. That’s quite a swing from summer month pricing. I’ll need to wait a few more weeks to find the new bill and calculate.

I also suspect the meter reader butchered the first month reading on my net meter. The net meter was ON for 28-29 days prior to the the reading and both the export/import units where in thr 400-600 units range. But their bill shows this:

Thats the odd part. My bill went from 30+ k to 0 in thr first month . Just the export/import units on the bill are in tens where they should be in the hundreds.

Guys I wish to add 2-3 panels to my existing 14x 545w panels setup. My inverter supports up to 9000w panels so I think that shouldn’t be a problem.

Do you think panel prices will go down further as the winter continues or now is a good time? Also because my contractor added quite some markup to my initial cost, is better to add the panels on my own or hire a good engineer or should this be done by initial contractor?

Also do you guys have any recommendations where to source the panels from in Pindi / isloo? Like is there a place where I can check prices frequently to know when is the best time to buy?

Be sure to buy the exact same panels / brand. Would recommend using your initial provider if you were happy with him excluding pricing.

Thank you. Is it a must to buy same model and brand? Can my existing array of 545 watt panels not work with 545w panels from another brand?

Also do you know any big shops where I can inquire current panel prices without any huge markups?

I believe you have 2 strings on your inverter - please confirm. AKA pv input ports. Say if you're only using one you can add a different brand on the other port but I'm not sure how viable this would be in terms of cost.

If you stick to the same string, I'm pretty sure it has to be the same brand / model.

Don't have any direct shop contact, it's pretty much everyone hoarding stuff and asking whatever prices they deem fit. Unfortunately this is how things will prevail at least in the short / medium term.

I did some research a while and if I remember correctly you can use different brands and different outputs too as long as there is not a huge difference, like you can mix 530, 535, 540 etc of any brand but you can't mix 440 with 540, that's a huge difference.

Wanted to share the ATS switches that I use while switching to my hybrid inverter during power failure.

I would highly recommend these over manual switching as it's instantaneous / automatic which makes life very easy.
