Dear brothers;

Any one using the POLY CRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANELS FROM "DAQO NEW ENERGY CORPORATION, NANJING, CHINA", please give your inputs w.r.t. its performance, specially in karachi climate and comparison with Canadian solar panels efficiency wise, life wise etc etc and since how long it has been used.

I think that switch is for setting high or low charging amps.

In the market its selling at Rs 120/Watt.
We retail it at Rs 110/Watt and Rs 100/Watt for quantities above 4KW.

when in narrow mode , the UPS will cut-off main supply and provide power through batteries at 170 Volts.
when in wide mode, the UPS will cut-off main supply and provide power through batteries at 100 Volts.

Of 100 or 200 ampere

The problem is that I have to replace two batteries every year even though i keep them toped up. The inverter is always charging have to add water every 3 days. what can be the case inverter and battery mismatch. Coz it happens with all the batteries I have been using. 180 25 volt combo. should i try dry batteries or just change the inverter

i think ur inverter is over charging ur batteries cuzin ur batteries to fry .... if u try dry batteries then thy ll xplode eventually cuz thy r packed from all sides... remember this ur batteries r much much costlier than ur inverter ... either u get it checked frm ur vendor or simply go for a new ups instead of this inverter ....

Usually APC UPS are designed for sealed batteries of typres (Built in) and usually meant for small backup so the cut off voltage is set very high (at 49v something) , there's a special cable available which connects Apc ups with computer and download software from APC website , reduce cut off voltage and increase charging amps , it usually charges slowly.
Try that and your issue will be resolved

I have had two very bad experiences with Systek. I have two dead Systeks in my home right now. First one I bought in 2003 or 04. It failed more than 6 times within warranty. After the warranty expired I dumped it.

Not having learnt my lesson from Systek, I bought another UPS from them in 2007 or 08. This 1KVA UPS didn't hold up too well to fluctuations in electricity. Mosfets kept blowing up regularly due to fluctuations in electricity. Every time the repair guy came, he blamed it on power fluctuation. I told him nothing else in my home has broken down due to power fluctuation except for this good for nothing UPS. There was another issue with this UPS... sometimes when the power came back on the UPS would not switch back to mains, it would keep running on battery and draining it completely. I had to turn it off and then on again and then it would function normally. I complained to Systek several times regarding this issue, however they could not reproduce the problem in their lab.

Now I developed the habit of manually plugging in the fan when the power went out and then removing the plug when the power came back on. Imagine doing that at 3 a.m. in the night!.

Finally I had it with Systek, after hearing some good opinions regarding Aurora, I bought it from Metro (the pure sine wave model). It was more expensive than local and even other Chinese brand name UPS, but it has proved to be very reliable. Output is close to sine wave and thus it is better for motor driven loads, fans don't whine, and it does not kill fan dimmers. I bought another Aurora UPS recently (1.4KVA) and I moved the older unit to the upper floor in my house.

I still have the Systek I did not get it fixed, after the warranty expired. NEVER EVER BUY SYSTEK.

I've heard some good things about Saltec. Homage is a mixed bag, some people say it is good, other people complain. However a couple of my colleagues are using Homage and they are quite satisfied with it.

As far as value for money is concerned I think Homage is best however if you are willing to spend some extra and get a "pure" sine wave UPS then Aurora is a solid choice.

These small UPS of homage are not Pure sine wave , which would destroy electronics

no rocket science but 48 V is undigestable, 48 VA or just V please post picture where it is written,

Get out from Homage and explore the world!

Dear ups charger cant simply upgraded thro power chute ... u need to change the hard ware plus battery constants needs to be calibrate. .. so yes power chute dus talks with the ups but in sum extent ...

I would recommend Gel batteries. Better than dry ones. Longer lifer and better result for all practical purposes.

Canadian solar is same as other china solar panels available. There are many better quality and cost options available then Canadian solar.
Best of all if you have some extra space you may go for Sharp Japan Thin film technology. Otherwise Renesola, Shinghai, Yangli are market leaders in Mono panels.

Installed 2600 watt with infini 3kwplus (48v 180amp Flooded battries)

I have been running 3 fan, 32inch LCD TV, 3 to 4 energy savers, 2 fridge and red water pump all at the same time
The electricity produced today is 10.45kw from morning till 6:13pm
Washing machine, iron microwave oven easily running with load managment
Battery only charges when solar available
all appliences (execpt fans, lights and TV) shifts to wapda after 5:30pm
