how the actual load will work on solar? i mean should we need to disconnect the grid supply to ups??

for a simple setup to connect your existing UPS with solar...
1st check the Volts of your UPS-Batteries...
if u have single battery UPS then its 12 volts, if u have double batteries (connected in series) that is 24 volts..
you have 2 options..
1. PWM Charge Controller... its cheap but limited options as well as low efficiency from your solar panels.
2. MPPT Charge Controller... its expensive but more options as well as maximum efficiency from your solar panels. (Thats why always ppl recommend MPPT controllers.)

First you decide what u want to buy... further reply is after your choice.

for a simple overview...

Solar Panel --> Charge Controller (to cut down the solar energy(volts) in a usable volts)
Charge Controller --> Battery (to charge battery from solar)

initially your don't have to change anything on your UPS setup...

but in this simple way..
your batteries will draw charging current from WAPDA and from Solar both at the same time.

and that will speed up the charging (but with time when you WAPDA is also pushing Amps for charging into batteries, and solar also the efficiency of solar will also decrease)

so you may switch off your WAPDA in daytime (just like at the time of load shadings when no wapda available to ups but it provides backup)... and only solar will provide power to your batteries for charging and ups will work in a backup mode to provide you backup.

yes bro i will opt for mppt and my battery is 12v 150 ah (bani hoi battery)

battery performance is somehow digestable.

i need to clarify;

• if i switch off the grid in day time then the solar input via mppt will charge the batteries and the ups will also REMAIN CONNECTED to the batteries - the load i.e. fans etc will directly run on solar power plus batt will also be charged..

• in the evening, i have to switch on the grid power otherwise the ups will drain my batt to the maximum extent..

• if i didn't disconnect the grid, my solar power will be lost or not??

plus is there any safety issue for making this solar panel set-up with the DESI non-sine wave ups?? At times, it runs the load till battery is at its last breath.......and the bulb's dimmmmmming light is alarming to switch on the generator asap.

No idea about that, may be some expert may REPLY for that.

yes... but if you have enough solar panels for your load as well as for charging the batteries.

Yes. exectly.. as soon as solar generation low down from your load.. your batteries will start draining. just simple maths.. if u are generating 5amps from solar and load is 8amps you are using 5 of solar + 3 from your batteries (cause grid is not switched on yet)...

Not 100% in Pakistan.. we always have a Load Shading schedule on daily basis.. whenever there is a load shading (grid off automatically/manually) solar will be providing power to your batteries as well as to your load (once again reminding you, iffff you have enough solar panels).

its simple if u have charged batteries with your ups and solar is generating power even there is no need at your batteries end.. the efficiency of solar will be down and this is a controller's auto function (provide as much as required).

There is nothing wrong with the Generator, its just that your generator is built to tolerate certain amount of load. Your AC takes up significant energy int he beginning which the generator tolerates for a certain time and it trips the compressor after a while because thats the generator's capacity.
Try running your AC at 26-27 degrees which might put less stress on the generator. I'd recommend you dont run your AC on generator.
We are Solar energy system provider so naturally I will have negative things to say about Generators and rightly so but its a brotherly advice to either not run your AC on generator or get a bigger Generator. Or simply Go Solar

@pantera brother i installed 1 KW Solar system, 2 Sun Sacred 100 amps each with Axpert KS 3kva inverter, My system is giving maximum 600 to 625 watts at peak. I want to ask you is it possible to install MPPT Controller separately and will it work with my Existing KS 3KVA Axpert. After installing MPPT what maximum benefit i may get from my system. Also please guide me a cheap but and good MPPT charge controller (also willing to expand my system at 2KW in future)

Now a days its output almost come at 300 watts at 3 PM. Awaiting your comments

You will have to connect the MPPT controller directly to batteries. If you want to avail benefit of MPPT, you will have to install an inverter that have MPPT charge controller. You can use Morning Star charge controller. after 3 if it is giving 300 watts then it is a fair output for the system

Mppt works well with solar tracker or it is just enough to install Mppt charge controller for max efficiency.?

Ok thank you, and if i change my inverter with built in MPPT Axpert inverter then what maximum benefit i can avail from the same system of 1 KW. I just want to make sure if i am spending almost 20K to exchange the inverter then i will be able to get 750 watts from my system??? Also now a days its almost 40C in my city and i heard MPPT couldnt perform well in high temperature.

Axpert Inverter is available with MPPT charge controller. Its called "MKS" series.

I have desi setup and running 2 fans, 3-4 lights, laptop charger, witribe desktop modem and no issue at all.

hi friends

3 week back i overhauled my Honda Generator Engine and run it on petrol for some times but i am facing problem when i turn it on GAS, Generator works fine on petrol take full load.

i start my generator on Petrol and convert to Gas.
when i turn the gas on it start loosing power and turn off.
after 2-3 attempt generator starts in full swing.

but when i turn on my 0.75 ton vertical AC my AC trip due to load.
or
when i turn on suction pump generator turnoff.

earlier both Air condition or suction pump works fine on this Generator.

on the other hand Air condition and pump are working fine on China generator.

kindly help how can i solve this issue.
