Gen-Set is not comfortable on GAS...
Change your Fuel (just use it on petrol only)
or
Call a technician to adjust the GAS settings.
there is a gas-valve (nut) on the gas kit... try it moving left/right... sound of your gen will change with it.
(remember how many turns right/left u turn, so that if not adjusted by your own self, at-least set it back on its previous state... [I] )

Some questions to the experts regarding a new solar system:

My plan is for the following hybrid setup, budget 70K Max, running 2 fans during daytime.

200W Panel (Expandable to 600W in future)
100AH Dry Gel Battery
1KV Axpert Inverter Preferably MKS

1) The 1KV Axpert is listed on many websites as being available in MKS, but in Lahore it is hard to find, should I go for the 3KV model but that would jack the budget up also I'd have to buy a 2nd batteries as only the 1KS model is available in 12V?

2) Also the re-branding of these inverters is strange, the original voltronic & Omegapower models specify PV voltage up tp 125VDC, but the Inverex model commonly available in market only handles up to 30VDC so I would be limited to 150W panels further increasing the cost. Which is the best Hybrid inverter for 12V systems?

3) For these hybrid inverters does the load circuit have to be completely isolated from the DB Box and can they use single wire UPS wiring (Common Neutral) or will a new neutral have to be wired for all load circuits?

i am not an expert but my personal Experience is...

As you have a load of 4/5-Fans and 2-Tube Lights first of all i will suggest to replace your lights with LED-bulbs (more economical in consumption even compared to Energy savers) ...
One Tube Light's consumption is almost equal to a ceiling fan.
For ceiling fans also check the consumption individually, cause with the passage of time capacitors of fans gone weak and need to be replaced after 2,3 years.

And for the Choice of UPS, keep in mind that never ever go more then 70% of UPS-powers.. e.g. if u have a load of 700-Watts get at-least around 1000-Watts UPS.

Never confuse between Volts & Watts... if UPS is 1500-VA it means around 1000-Watts.
I always prefer 24V-UPS that is 2 Batteries connected in serious and giving backup, rather then 12-Volts (single battery).
Always try to manage/reduce your load as much as you can for UPS...

Remember for a UPS/Battery when you are using maximum backup the life of battery effects a lot. so i prefer the batteries not too big (as AH increased its cost increase), and replace them at the start of summer season every year. cause mostly in our setups we need more for fans in summer as compared to lights in winter.

Personally i am using APC and Compaq UPS since 4-5 years..
At a place where i have double cable wiring, i am using APC-refurbished and its working fine. 1 more advantage of APS, its charging may be increased at some extent by local-intrusion.
At a place where i have single cable wiring, i am using Compaq-refurbished and its working fine. its charging may not be increased but one can use external charger if required due to extra ordinary load shading.

by my other friends experience ... Good Desi-UPS is better then other ones i.e. aurora, digital, homage (all found to be problematic after or within 1,2 years) and need to be discarded. but Desi-UPS are repairable.

currently i am using APC-1400VA xl with two Millat-M105 (70AH) batteries, and in day time 1/2 fans and few lights and before 11 at night my ups is totally charged my batteries, and at night 3/4 fans and facing no problem till now.

Now choice is yours...
if u want to spend more at one time, i will recommend APC/Compaq (for sure i am not publicizing anyone here, just advising on my personal experience.)

Some sincere friend who was previously in this field recommended me DEUTSCHE SOLO UPS of 2KVA around 1000-12000 W so any idea about that?

Mr. Afzal - 0300-2148767- karachi. the guy is quite knowledgeable and manufacturers good ups and give sincere suggestions. i have his ups working since years with no major fault. minor faults like fan burned etc are ignoreable. performance wise his equipment is good.

yes ghani007 has correctly advised to replace all your major lights with leds - i have done this and ALHAMDOLILLAH benefiting.

but imo, always buy Philips led - it is expensive but provides good light and is reliable.

its an nother xample ov PAK CHEEN DOSTI UPS ........ its sine wave like normal ups ... here many people r sellin it but trust me nothin will match with APC .........

if LESS Loadsheding... Just go for a UPS (for Lights & Fans only)... simple one solution

if More Loadsheding... plan for UPS (for Lights & Fans only) and ((when UPS get down/trips)) Gen-Set for overall things... one plus one solution

Loadsheding - specially in day time... go for a Solar Solution it may be with a simple UPS or hybrid(more expense more comfort).

NEVER EVER EVER use DRY battery with any chinese UPS / INVERTERS ..... they ll FRY it at ny point of year ....... LOSS OF BATTERY MEANS LOSS OF MONEY ...........

if he purchases a 1~2 kva generator and runs it on gas then it will prove to be cheaper plus availability of power at the required time irrespective of load shedding duration.

but yes UPS gives you peace of mind and comfort in middle of the night!!!

Any one have knowledge if it is feasible to install Wind Generator in Faisalabad or Lahore or in near area for small capacity like 2 KW to 3 KW. Awaiting any comments, I am also thinking to upgrade my existing solar system with Wind Generator for day and night use to get ride of Wapda totally.

I am not an expert but can give you some suggestions.

I would recommend you to go for 3kva axpert mks model and 2 batteries. Install panels later when you have more budget.

If you also want to install solar panels now, only ks 1 kva model is fit according to your budget.

I have recently bought ks 1kva model from tesla solar for some relative but they have not used it yet so can't answer you question related to single wire.
