The New Chrysler 300C in Islamabad

The new RHD Chrysler 300c has been spotted in Islamabad. In fact 2, one silver the other Black. At 1st i thought it was a Bentley then i realised it was a 300c. In fact it was the 3 Ltr diesel version,the same engine introduced in the new mercedes S and CLS class.The owner told me its 2007,new and for a fraction of the price of Bentley.....Rs.6.5 Million ! Cool.(The same price range of a new 530d or a E280cdi) Which 1 of the 3 would u go for?

I too seen this one in black, I suppose owned by the showroom owner of CAR WORLD located beneath the Citibank Blue Area, as seen there many times.

The 300C, (as per Top Gear review) isn't extraordinary.. sure it has the looks and the straight line grunt, but when it came to handling around corners, the brakes and how they kept up with constant braking at intervals also the quality of the parts in it.. according to Jeremy Clarkson , it just didn't feel expensive or high class.

However, for the price you pay for it.. sort of worth it considering people will mistake you for driving a Bentley..

my friends dad owns the black one.
ive drivin it. :D:D
its a 3 lit v6 218 hp and 460 Nm of torque.
both are imported by car world. (or some other showroom in blue area)
the bently grill for the black one is on its way.
killer , gigantic car..you push the pedal or change lanes on the highway and the traction control light comes on.

yeah both cars were imported by carworld and i heard they have 2 more due this saturday,both petrol, a 3.5 V6 and the other 5.7 V8 hemi.Your grill should be with you on Monday(news through Undislosed sources!)

Bro, dont even compare it to the Merc or BMW. Americans are now just making good looking sheet metal and thats about it. The chassis and suspension is taken straight out of the W210 (Older E-Class). This is the only thing working for this car, rest is so so.

if that's the case this car will have some serious rust issues, the W210 is probably the worst rust-proofed merc ever built.....

the 300C is based on the old W210, the crossfire is based on the old R170 (SLK),.. what next?

i thought isb cars dont have rust problem's like karachi car's and lhr cars (which are kept dirty till they rust and fall apart)

If i had 6 million and were to buy a new exec saloon car and wanted to bring something that stands out,i'd go for the 300C.(be different buy different).AND We dont have rust problems here as 210's are still running in 1 piece since since 1996.
In this price budget with these options i certainly would not go for a new E200 Komp or a Bmw 520i. (Every TDH has 1! )

what people don't know is that the W210 chassis is the most flawed chassis EVER built by mercedes-benz....

no doubt KHI cars will rust faster due to the corrosive air, but ISB & LHR cars will rust almost as fast due to the humidity levels here too.
