Thermostat valve and auto fan

And today bought a kabli thermostat valve and turn the radiator fan to auto, fill the radiator with 50 % water and 50% collent now the fan turns on when the temp needle is in middle and fan turns off when the needle comes to 35 or 40 % i thnk needle in middle is ok ?

I never remove TS Valve even in summers or anytime. My Needle is little below middle. If your cooling system is in good condition you dont have to remove it at all. I still see people in this cold weather running engines with direct fans hmm...

btw i bought it for rs 350 the guy remove the valve from engine in front of me

Honda 78*C thermostat was about Rs 1500/- for a brand new item, used ones may or may not work like they should.

@usman505 - your engine uses the regular suzuki thermostat that is 82*C rated - there is a pipe in your engine that causes major problem, that pipe is the water pump inlet pipe that goes under the exhaust manifold, it corrodes internally and collapses to about only 20% diameter of original and causes heat up.

Check that with a mirror and torch after removing bottom radiator pipe from it. Replace it if you see corrossion.

waise the car is behaving ok and the temp is also looking normal but i will ckh that pipe
i thnk its on the front side just behind the exhaust manifold ?
and one thing today i noticed that when the needles reaches at half the fan turns on and remain on only for 20-30 sec is that ok ??

yes - the timing of the fan is not that great, and if you put in a testing LED you will find that it almost never runs when the car is moving.

iam planning to put an led which turns on when fan turns on and the place for led which i decided is the small indication of diesel engine heater in corner of meter (because the car was previously equipped with diesel turbo engine )

you can use any other not so obvious point and use a light blue soft glow LED so it wont distract you that much. btw - blue is the universal colour for cooling.

yes blue led will do good.
and what do u said about the place to fit LED ?
is there any good point in ur mind to fit it in g11's cabin

The auto fan should start when the temp exceeds 82 degrees and should stop when the temp is below 82 degrees .

nopes - the fan starts at about 98 degrees and stops at about 90-92 degrees.
