yesterday we gave a surprize visit to the shop and caught the guy in his shop. He was not much happy to see us. As most of you suggested that we should resolve the matter through dialogue. We opted for this option, and now he is a bit on the line and willing to cooperate. According to him there was no fault in the engine. I told him that we both go the mechanic and whatever the mechanic says we will accept. We went to a mechanic of his choice and the mechanic said that valves are leaking compression and there is problem in the head. Then that inaam guy said that mechanic does not know anything. We said to him that if there is a fault in the head you will provide us the head and we will bear the expense of rings and sleeves . But he is not willing to replace the engine. He says that we should replace rings and sleeves of the engine. now lets see what happens

Does anyone of you know them, or visited their shop? Now Inaam is also looting people with generators. I saw a person who was also their, who bought a generator from him and had lots of complains.
Only one person named haji saab has some faith with him. It was only him who was willing to provide us Engine head if that would be faulty.

First serve the guy with a legal notice if he listens to you its ok but if he does not listens to you file a complaint against him in Consumer Court, I can do it for you. All you have to do is give me receipts of payment and warranty card if any and expenses for filing a case. i will not charge you my fees.

We live in pakistan where Khaleefa e Azam justice iftikhar chaudary had dipped his finger in oil and continuosly fingering everyone except the corrupt lower judiciary.

People learn from their mistakes. Hope the OP gets some money back. I ll suggest you not to waste ur time on replacing the engine as he will not do so. They are mafia and have contacts in polices due to the nazrana they give. They are involved in car thefts so have to keep the good relations in police. Try to get the engine repired at their costs.

And always remeber one thing, never do the dealing with molvi type people. They are biggest frauds.

I do agree with you, when he will get the Notice he will go to the chairman of the association and will say "tuhaday hondian vekho meray naal ki ho rea vay" at first they will try to reconciliate with the party, they will never change the engine but they should and will repair the engine. and even if he does not have receipt i can prepare my self in Pakistan sab chalta hai.

First thing is Negotiate with the Shopkeeper with love and anger, try to convince him and asked him to replace the engine.
2nd step if he does not agree to replace the engine, asked him to get repair the engine from a trustworthy mechanic.
If he does not willing to get the engine repaired try to contact with the concerned association and try to negotiate the matter.

and finally if nothing turns in your favour serve him a notice, I hope legal notice will work and then the same process which i have mentioned earlier. I hope things will turn in your favour because i have seen most the cases in consumer court settles between the parties.

In Shoba Market Peshawar they have a union and if any shopkeeper goes nasty with you or not honoring his word of mouth then if you complain to the union people they sort him out. Fine him or get your thing replaced/returned. Even sometimes they expel that person from market.
Same is the case in Karkhano market peshawar. I bought a 2nd hand 29 inch flat screen sony tv from there about 4 years ago. I was in nowshera at that time. He gave me a receipt and 24 hours check warrnty. When I reached nowshera it turned out that the tv was in habit of turning greenish after half an hour of use. The next day I came all the way from nowshera to peshawar and it was such a pain in the back to load n unload that tv in my small alto as it was very heavy. The shopkeeper refused to honor his warranty and was very aggressive towards me. So I told him that I will be going with complain to the market union people and bingo he turned out the most gentle person on the face of earth. Offered me tea and replaced my tv set.
These people can't be impressed by show of power like one gentleman advised here as at that time I was having two armed guards with me but he gave a $hit to them and same person turned buttery on the threat of going to union people.

Now I don't know if such system exists in bilal gunj or not as I have gone there only once and that too with my mechanic so every dealing was done by the mechanic and I just paid at the end.

I think we being members of PW, should start a new thread to warn each other of such thiefs because all of us do have such experiences of dealing with liars & cheaters. No offence to anyone, but when a trader starts losing business due to bad reputation he may come to his senses otherwise the system in this country (Police, courts, associations etc) usually protect such junk of the society.

My family has spent 22 years in a court case. After 22 years we got the order on jurisdisdiction issue not on the case. We have given up the case, after losing the lives of 9 people in total. 4 from our side and 5 from other.

In Pakistan justice is for the people who have ability and power to snatch it. And every thing is sellable here, dont ask me furher warna touheen e adalat ho jaye gi.

Palkiwala (a reputed indian lawyer) said that Indo Pak are the only countries in the world where you have to pay for your own rights.

So brother these legal notices and consumer courts are just fantacies to be discussed while sitting in air conditioned drawing room, not in the real life.

Every thing is sellable? Yes everything is sellable but a judge cannot go beyond the limits. Everything is written in the court files you have plenty of appellate forums so in most of the cases you get your decision on merit. Exceptions are everywhere.

Yes, everything is unbelievable here. During the entire tenor of case, it was fixed before numerous judges. The first proper hearing was held after 2.5 years of filing of case. It will be unbelivable for you as well. You being a lawyer have the ability to attend the case yourself. Not everyone can manage court kacheri here, considering the judicial system prevailing in our country. Since you are a lawyer, can you guarantee time frame within with the case will be disposed off? Irrespective of its outcome! You must be aware of delaying tactics used by the lawyer community in courts! Paisa bolta hai.

I am really thankfull to you guys. You know when i came to pakwheels to post this thread, i had lost all hopes. This was the last resort.
That i should warn you guys, so you can avoid these theives. But you have given me new hope and energy. Now i will try each and everything that can be done. And i am also glad that i have delivered this message to a large audience.
This is the only way, i encourage all other members to share such scams with others. So we can avoid wasting our time and money.
