I own civic rebirth late 2014. It is indeed a problem free car. However, only purchase one with maintenance history and original low mileage. Dont fall for low price listed cars with low mileage. Same applies to 2016-2017 X civic, in case you can find one with maintenance history and low mileage get it. Ask for steering, battery and evaporator issues. Check for warranty claims or 3S dealer invoices for steering or coil replacements.

Best shot at finding a good civic X 2016-18 is looking for one for sale among relatives and friends who bought it new.

Rebirth would be a good buy, keep in mind finding a neat piece wont be easy and the best roadside experts are fooled with a few simple tricks when examining a used car - use a reliable experienced mechanic to inspect.

yeah i will do my best to find a better condition rebirth .. however i
want to know something, some one said that Rebirth catylic converter
needs to be clean every 10000-15000 KM .. is that true ?? some guyz also
telling me to go for new city cvt because new city will give
16=17km/ltr and rebirth will give 7-8 km/ltr ..is that true ? i am so
confused, i am more interested in Civic than city.

All car's catalytic converters should be cleaned or replaced after a certain mileage. I've kept Rebirth two times and it has given me about 10-11 KM/L in city with AC. City has a CVT transmission and 1.5L as well so expect 12-14 KM/L in City usage depending upon driving. Pakwheels shows City Aspire CVT new price as 33.70 Lac and about 35 after registration etc etc in which you can easily find a Civic X 2017 (far more superior).

No Catalytic cleaning after 10-15 k isnt true. Mileage of civic rebirth if your regular drive is in congested area like sadar Rawalpindi then with AC 8-9 kmpl, w/o AC 9-10 kmpl. My drive is mostly on Peshawar Road where i get 11.5-11.9 with AC and w/o AC 12.5 - 12.9.

My driving style is relaxed. I floor the pedal only when quick overtake is required which mostly happens when rikshaw and taxi walas attempt to poke their nose without any regard to the sufficiency of space for their maneuver.

These three issues were the most commonly reported ones in 2016-17 civic. Steering rack used to rattle like a metal box full of bolts and nuts for which replacement with new was the only option. Costed people somewhere around Rs.180 -Rs.200 k. Instant evaporator leakage made AC redundant. Solution was to replace or repair the Evaporator. Most of the people resorted to repair which resulted in poor AC performance. Third was dead battery in the morning for which replacement with new was solution.

Cant say whether cars of 2016-17 running on road which havnt faced these issues may get faulty now.

Almost all faced issues. Surprisingly 2017-18 grande sells better than civic for same reason and 2019 onward civic sells much better in market.

Can confirm, rebirth's consumption is high. We use it on a very light foot inside Islamabad and we get 10-10.5 in winters. Also can confirm, cat needs to be serviced but not after 10-15k kms but after 50 imo. Also also can confirm, rebirth's suspension system is very weak unless driven very carefully.

Again, new is new. Old is old and will need to get SOME work done after buying. So keep the additional cost in mind. There's no ''just buy and drive'' in reality. It's ''buy and drive, discover all the issues, get them fixed, discover some more issues, get them fixed, then drive.''

Buying a use car is a science but one can always find a great car unless he falls for discounted ones. Discounts mostly are scams and prople regret later. Even with weak suspension its way way better than city anyday. Yes , rebirth is heavy on fuel but then for the price it’s perfect (as per current prices)

True, If you have the knowledge then there's nothing better than getting a used car. You get better value for your money. And you have facilities like Pakwheels inspection as well so you do get some help in that regards as well.

And there are no gaurantees that the new car won't have any issues. But of course there's warranty service which makes the process a bit easier to digest.

It's a pretty difficult choice.

Not all cars have these issues.

Steering rack has occurred due to problematic part and it is mostly replaced by Honda. However, some people have been able to get it repaired from local mechanic . This will be easily traced by looking at service history. If someone has already replaced it, then it is better.

AC evaporator has been experience few and not very common.

Dead battery, a few .

People have been getting good used Turbos and enjoying. @Spano

Due to petrol price issues now I am thinking to for for fuel efficiency, I am very stressed about all the mehengaii, please tell me what's the fuel Avg of Civic 2017-2018 ? And what about the suspension quality? I heard Civic suspension is weak and it must be drive very carefully, tell me according to Karachi destroyed roads situation, also do we need to clear catylic converter every few thousands ?? Please tell me about these I am so tensed honestly

11.5 easily ati hai , if driven gently. Lowest i got is 10.7 tabk to tank. I dont believe in meter average
