Tourist under attack by local people of Murree

This is a routine work in Murree, some serious action should be taken against them or God forbidden some serious injury may occurs someday!

Well this is common now a days....With less tourists going in Murree due to bad conditions and shortage of water....these effing pahari have made badmashi a habit............. we had 2 apartments in murree cecil and had to sell it on throw away prices just because the local maintenance wanted bhatta.....

it took a lot of talking and a lot of badmashi in the end and Allah ka shuker we sold em.....but events like such have become common in Murree....they gang up on tourists and local authorities do nothing

This is an eye opener for the people who want to have their own houses/apartments in murree.

Someone I know is fighting legal battle to get back his newly constructed house in murree suburbs. Family wanted to spend summers there.

In 2013 he purchased a plot after complying with all legal requirements and completing all necessary check and balances.

During autumn of 2014 house was constructed and after expensive furnishing family had a party and a couple of weekend stays.

Soon after, owner received a SOS call from Murree only to find the "real" owner of plot has enforced his qubza on the house and everything that is inside and the fake seller of plot has disappeared.

Now the demand of the real plot owner is "take your bricks or give me 50 lacks cost of plot or go to court"

Friends, do you know where was the "real" owner of plot when his plot was being sold, when architect was visiting to draft the layout of house or when the house was being constructed?

so sad so sad. beat anyone in front of his family and kids is not good at all. these pahari people are like dogs. truly murree k log kutay hain. in k andar lalach , kamingi ar paisay ki lootmaar ki bohat ahwas ha no doubt. never ever going to murree again. iss tarah ki batamezi aam ho gai ha murree ma in kutay k bacho ne ik cartel bana liya ha tourist ko lootnay k liye. murree people go to hell.

so much depressed after watching this! i cant say a word! one thing for sure is that animals are better than us! signs of QIAMAH are near! real islam starts as soon as we step out of the masjid! ethics have gone to zero! we are dead as a nation! i was amazed to see that no sane person tried to stop those morons from attacking that guy

Gentlemen please avoid any mob ALLAH ka shukar hai i have never faced such an incident but i was driving with my family and entered a group (mob) they damaged my car hood my Father got really angry and was about to shout ,i told him "Ab jo hona tha woh ho gaya no worries" i apologized to the mob gave them a friendly gesture and backed out.
What i am trying to say is that we have to control our anger and ego this is what we call mob mentality,Things can go from bad to worse.Whenever a Mob gathers you should exit ASAP,such incidents have taken place around the world lynching,burning and degrading women is just what is done when a mob gathers.I saw a guy driving a car,he hit a bicycle and before you know it ppl started thrashing the car driver it was the fault of the bicycle wala he was cycling almost in the middle of the road at that time i was too scared to do anything ,just felt guilty.I do not advocate carrying a sidearm because violence will cause more violence and we as a nation are very hyper so a simple apology should do wonders IMO.

Very sensible thoughts,specially if you are with your family it's best to say say sorry and drive off,even if it isn't your fault.You may look like a ***** hearted but it's best.Mob culture prevails in Pakistan and there is no way you can win against them. And to be honest this incident could happen anywhere in Pakistan.its not excelsior to muree.

It's another example of mob justice which is increasing everyday.How fair is this fight when a man is beaten up infront of his kids.Maybe as above poster said its best to avoid it and walk off,hard to do but it's the safest route for your family.its very sad situation.
Personally I've never faced any problems in muree other than rowdy crowd but if all the stories are true then best is to avoid the area at all costs.Once tourist stop going there and income comes down then maybe locals will realise they need to behave if they want tourist business.
It's sad because all the countries I've been to tourist areas are considered the safest,because local people mostly realise on tourist and they know if tourist turn away they'll loose their livelihood.
On other hand tourist areas are expensive all round the world but you need smiling and welcoming face to pay high prices.

Long time back I was with my friends on bikes , we were three and on two bikes , me, raja sahib and one friend ..while raja sahib was on one bike and on another bike me and another friend.we were in main area and while passing some one abused raja , raja is a pehalwan kind of guy..then what we three give a nice phainta to local guys , they were 4total...2 run away and two were fixed by us ..

Most people have a great time in Murree. Please don't let isolated incidents like this deter you from visiting. There are many other places in the northern areas to choose from, if you are apprehensive about Murree.

i think naran and shogran is better than murree, par ab baqi members se discuss kar loon because ham log during ramazan jana chah rhy thay to self service cooking ka plan he ban rha hai, is lia me ne sab ko pehly he naran ke lia force kia thaa but all other members said ke dooor parta hai area bhe hilly hain and election mahol of KPK also to ab is thread ke baten sab ko bataon ga to shayad sab man jaen

Go for Neelum Valley if you have time+money. 3 hours from Isb to Muzaffarabad where you can enjoy few places and night stay and then 4-5 hours to neelum valley from Mzd.
You can also visit Rawalakot (almost 3 hours from Isb).

PS: These both places are in AJK and much better in terms of people's behavior and terrorism issue etc as compared to kpk and other places.

i still remember 2008 14aug night in murree. we also face same situation, but murree walay yaad rakhay ** kis say panga liyaa thaa they were beaten like dgs.

Ur welcome bro. You have your own car or public transport?
In case of public transport, apko Isb say neelum valley direct gari nahi milay gi, pehlay aap Muzaffarabad jao. Wahan janay k liye aapko faizabad station say boht vans mil jaein gi. Mzd main aap k budget k mutabiq boht say hotels mil jaein ge. Muzaffarabad say neelum valley tak aapko van/bus mil jae gi, neelum valley main boht say guest houses hain. Wahan say aap jeep rent par le kar aagay ja saktay hain..... Many places like arang kel, kutton etc...... Rest you can see neelum valley threads where many members have beautifully explained their journey details along pictures.
