Need a Little help
I have to buy a New Car for Family Use preferably Sedan and Belta is a good option
The quality finishing features comfort everything of these imported cars is way better than locals But Resale is Extremely bad
Sold my Passo last year ( used here for 1 year only in 10/10 condition ) @ a loss of 2.5lacs
Not getting anything above 7 ( a big lolz ) for my current Nissan ad expert 1.5 2007/12 registered in 10/10 condition with extras Loss of 4 lacs !
So This time I am really scared ! its better to go for a 0 meter Swift i Belv
But still so many owners and fans here , How is the resale of this beautiful little sedan ?? after getting it registered and using for another 1 year or so , what will b its worth in 10/10 condition , New ones unreg at present are b/w 1050 - 1350
ye bhi 7-8lacs tak to nae jaegy phr ?? Swift easily 11 ki to hogy after 1 year bhi

Bhai sb khud hi question and khud hi answer de rahay ho ..... Lemme make it a bit simple for you brother.

JDM cars are mostly bought to keep and use ...... local made are bought to drive for a while and then sell.

Either dont buy it or buy and keep for few years and then if it gives u loss, its worth it. Swift is not a bad car as well, I kept one and sold it for profit few years back. As we see new JDM models on road and they will keep on coming which means in long term Belta wont get you profit if u r looking for.

Last but never the least, if u have to choose b/w Belta and Swift considering you will sell it in a year time or so then wise decision will be swift.

I hope Belta owners dont hate me for this .....

Different people will give u different opinions but it depends how much car fanatic u r ..... when i bought my belta 1.3 few months back, I took it to toyota and got a thorough checkup. Lubricants changes, brakes checked, CVT oil replaced, i know those guys rip u off but as it was first check up so I preferred those professionals over a road side mechanic. And that was the first and last time I took it to them now I get the oil and filter changed by a known road side mechanic. Its much cheaper.

I can never ever let any roadside mechanic or even my own old experienced mechanic to touch my car coz after after fingering the vehicle for many hours these mechanics say "acha ty is gaddi wich nawa system lagya ay thehro ma pehlay aap smj lawan phir kuch krnay aan"..
these mechanics are very good for old n pakistan assembled cars..
Secondly regarding engine oil i would prefer Zic..as 5W-30 is being recomended for Belta..but Zic has two variations in 5W-30 i.e ZIC A+ and ZIC OW...
which is preferred one?

Hahahaha I really liked the way you expressed a local mechanic. Brother its not the case always. I know certain road side mechanix who know much more than those professionals at dealerships and they can sort out the problems much quicker and in efficient way than these people. Anyways thats debatable, it depends on your consent where you want to get your car inspected and maintained.

Actually in PK people get more attracted to lubricants which say "FUEL SAVER" without understanding the real need. Beher haal am not an expert but thats what my opinion is.

Saif bhai go thru the earlier posts on this thread and you will get some info regarding mileage and better fuel consumption techniques. I posted a link earlier somewhere on this thread which illustrates how to get better mileage outta ur car.

Honestly speaking different people here getting diff mileage from their Beltas, no one has concluded the accurate point on how to get better performance, you can change filters, lubricants, plugs, throttle body service, and get your vehicle tuned and see if that helps. I bought mine and got it serviced from Toyota GT Motors. Since then I have driven almost 6000kms. Its not my daily runner, sometimes I get 15km/l and twice I achieved 19.6km/l as well. Keep the rpm (if urs is one with rpm meter) below 3 and see if that helps. Other than this get an expert opinion.

Consult the manual and see what it says about CVT oil replacement.

actually i had already studied all the details of ZIC lubricants on their website and concluded that ZIC A+ and ZIC OW both r almost same and ok for Bleta ...OW has just a little edge on A+ if u compare the properties shown on site...but OW was not available in the market and not even with ZIC office at I-9 so I got hold of ZIC A+...
and i m not much concernd abt fuel saving coz i know its just rubbish to sell their product...
u cant get any saving ...or might be pennies due to some differnt oil of same grade...but ZIC has a good reputation n record so i preferred ZIC....

To my knowledge, all are automatic. The specifications across many websites has never been ov manual.

Dear Belta Owners,

A very serious issue to discuss...
What security system should be installed in the Belta so that u can sleep tight at night and feel free while parking your car anywhere..
As far as i read about Belta, It doesnt hv immobiliser...
Secondly when i contacted differnt security system installers in Islamabad/Rawalpindi...they told me that dont install any electronic security system in these japanese cars bcoz if u install any outside security system, the installer will finger with the wirings of ur car and the electronic or the computerized system of the car will become disturbed/confused resulting in some other genuine problems...
(i hv got the same comments from these two known keymakers as well...they hv been mentioned in the earlier threads also...

plz advise what to do now as i dont feel comfortable at all with my car having no security system...just an alarm...
Even i know that there is a very less tendency of getting a JDM stolen bcoz of its parts and resale issue..
the most common car being stolen is Corolla...but whatsoever "My Belta is the asset of my whole life and i cant afford to lose it in any case"...r Pakistan aisa mulk bhi nahi jahan chori hoi hoi chez ap ko wapis mil jayay ya mil janay ki umeed ho...

so Plz advise...

I don't agree with your people because I have come across many Vitzes and Platzs installed with aftermarket alarm systems.

Having said that, I wouldn't rely on such measly systems for a number ov reasons. Go for crook locks instead.

Manuals exist, but not in Japan.

The Manual ones are 5-speed manual and have the 1.5 1NZ-FE engine they are only available to the Gulf region of the Middle East, United States and Canada.

If you are in Lahore then Bilal Gunj is your best buy. There is slight difference between Vitz and Belta side mirrors so you have to buy Belta's one. They come in two varieties, with or without side indicator light. In Rawalpindi (Sultan ka khoo) they sell for approx. Rs.5k to 7k a piece.
Unfortunately there has not been a security system launched yet to protect your vehicle's side mirrors. Recite Ayat-ul-kursi whenever and where you park your car.

Use only OEM spark plugs.

Denso Iridium SK20HR11, your car would need three. They cost anywhere between 950-1200rs depending on which city you reside in.
