Toyota central motors at khalid bin waleed road karachi has 2 corolla cross 2022 model Thailand version at show room. asking price 13900000 both are hybrid. as per showroom manager they have no information from Indus for availability of petrol only vehicle assembly at plant. Neither Indus has called up dealerships for any expected launch in 2023. sir @fazalwahab11375 please extract more truth from your source please

the very same model is planned for assembly - CBU units may be available immediately after booking is announced. checked out at eidul azha. Those are not brand new but used import odo is n 4 digits. both were at Shahrae Faisal facility.

BTW It is Toyota Society Motors at Khalid Bin Waleed Road - Toyota Central Shahrae Faisal are under same family ownership.

Honda hrv price is 82 lacs. Corolla cross cbu is 13.2 million. Means local assembled cross will be 92 lacs. Just a guess

Indus motors has officially been selling CBUs for more then 2 years now. (THAILAND imported) they are on display for everyone to see and buy aswell. All the imports are in Hybrid trims only. Base/Medium/HiGrade. Brochure for the same is avaliable on the indus motor website.

Dear Toyota if you have any hope of recovering from shutdowns consider introducing Xli/Gli type variant for the upcoming Corolla Cross. It should have 1500 cc 1nzfe engine and bare minimum features but priced economical.

Will help you regain your lost markt share.

I don't think this will work, People buying in 80 Lacs won't go for a Basic Model rather a top model. Sportahe Alpha and Tuscon GLS sell less than AWD variants.

Sir Sportage and Tucson are fuel guzzlers and fall in different category. They sell mainly for show off and change. Therefore their potential buyers prefer bells and whistles and go for fully loaded trims. Corollas on the other hand are prefered more for reliability, perforamnce and economy than for show off. Morover the corolla old shape also now costs about 8 million and has turned away buyers. Its now to be joined by crossover. So a variant with smaller engine will definitely attract buyers. It will have low witholding tax and better fuel economy. Drastic times call for drastic steps.

1500cc 1 nzfe is very light on fuel. It is found in jdm cars like premio and axio etc. Its smaller displacement variant the good old 1300cc 2nzfe we have in Glis and Xlis won many awards internationally. It was capable of pulling the bigger body shell well despite being smaller in displacement.
People complained Gli auto to be underpowered but those whohave driven Altis 1.6 auto and Gli auto both, definitley know that 2nzfe is quite a capable engine.

altis 1.6 doesnt have the 2nz fe enine it has the 1zr fe dual vvti engine which is much better then 2nz fe besides power ofcourse.

No one said altis has 2nzfe engine. The point was that 2nzfe of Gli auto performs quite well like the powerful 1 zr fe performs in Altis 1.6.

umm nope ..gli auto is underpowered as hell ..the engine is literally screaming and when you look at the speedo the speed is still 40 or 50km\hr something..altis 1.6 is loads better in performance then gli auto and 1.8 is the best in corolla goes very well with cvti gear.

That was the case with Gli auto 2014-15&16. After immobilizer was introduced in 2016 in Gli its transmission was tweaked as well. Have you driven Gli auto 2017 and onwards?

no ..i have driven a manual gli 2019 and a 2016 auto .. but when i drove the gli auto it wasnt good. now i will drive the 18 onwards auto as well lets see if its better.

Since Wahab Bhai's Demise something changed in me I don't even want to think about the Upcoming Cars in Pakistan Let alone have an interest in them rather I want to appreciate and interact with People around me as one never knows who will leave this World the next day.

sir I felt the same but in the end we have to move on. Whoever leaves this world next is not in our hands. I am sure fazal sb wouldn't want us to stop discussing cars.
In the end, it's our choice if we want to discuss cars or not.

Everyone has already seen the Corolla Cross in Pakistan since more then 3 years being sold as a CBU.

We are still getting the pre facelift vehicle. The world has or is moving towards the facelift.

Other vehicle manufacturers are offering better deals
