See, i knew it. The 1st time u highlighted your problem, this was the thing i told u right away. So the fuel pump was replaced under warranty or did ur car chassis also fall in the call back campaign for this replacement?
Regarding the price, yes it was a big shock for me as well. U know the price mentioned on the fuel pump was Rs 3679. As i was talking to the technician during fitment, i said this part price is quite reasonable, he started laughing and told me that the actual price of fuel pump motor alone was Rs 42000 and with rubber rings kit, the whole thing being replaced is above 50k. I couldn't believe this that a fuel motor small and simple enough to look like it came out of a toy could be so insanely costly. He told me u can verify from parts department, which i did and to my horror, he was right. When i asked the tech why such low price mentioned on the part packing, his reply was that it might be to avoid taxes stuff, which didn't sound quite convincing to me.
Although in routine circumstances, this part is not likely to fail in even a decade but still why would it be so damn high priced. Anyone has any idea why? @autophile @crude101 @Zaeem89 @fastian04
