The new buyer got the android. It was cheap xyz Chinese. The installer didn't even had a box for it.

Fitting it was a pain in the back. Had to use heat gun to alter fitting clips and elfy to final fitment.

It's a total jugar to fit this LCD in this car. Better go for toyota 7 inch universal fitting.

Is it a good idea to buy a used dumba shaped corolla GLi1.3 in 2022 as a family sedan?
Affordability is the main concern.
Maintainence cost?
As the car will be atleast 14 -15 years old

If car is taken care of then sure as it is a good car for Pakistani roads. Maintainence is not that expensive.Get engine compression done and other inspection of seals,gearbox etc.

Got the front disks faced, was getting a tik tik noise when brakes applied at slow speed.

Got A/C belt replaced, - Brandoo # 1270 4lines rupees 500 + 100 labor / Disk Brake Rotor faced + labor 1000 - last visit at wheel alignment shop (me his old time client close to my house) sometime feel steering getting load to right hand side when left with no hands, alignment technician did little adjustment and last recommended to get new tyres I was like ok

Tyre price in on the raise -- me drawing budget lines to trick my wife before she gives me any plans

Looks like it was fast rough cut on a standard lathe! He doesnt own finer cut tools?

Did your lathe guy atleast own a lead infused rubber band that is wrapped on the disc edge when its being cut? It prevents chatter vibrations which causes weird cuts.

LoL... never heard of this,,,,,, got this done in rupees 1000 including lathe and labor (mechanic) to my assumption lethe wala took hardly $3 to get the cut done, that too DHA next to Khan Motors

Thou I did not go to lathe-wala mechanic took care of it, However if I was there with these "infused rubber part" the lathe-wala would have scolded me to take it some place else.

Plus you are well-versed with how things go at our part of the world. You with brain got a better place to use it, but we all don't

If you go to plaza market to sultan machine shop - they have the correct disc cutting lathe and the leaded rubber bands to go on it. They do a good job.

I would have not even allowed a cut of such roughness on a disc at all, I could do better with a honing stone.

Btw have you measured the disc thickness with Vernier caliper as apparently or at least in picture angle, thickness seems different from the original.

Please get your bumper a clean coat now

Hi i love the "Dumba" shape of this corolla and think this would make a sick Yakuza style of car therefore i wanted to get some information.

Firstly would like to know the differences between the 2OD Saloon and the Altis 1.8.Is one car inferior then the other. Since id like something with a lot of torque and definitely in manual, would a diesel engine be better or a petrol.

Also have heard from some users that this corolla has stability issues and loses traction from car lifting off. Can this be rectified by:
Installing wide tires like Michelins
Getting dual bearing suspension maybe. Don't remember but some forum member once said its very rare and changes suspension of car completely. Don't want to go for coil overs.

We've owned the car in my family from day 1 for 18 years now.
The car had inherent braking issues which are easily rectified by making them a bit tighter. The stock suspension is pretty stable even while doing maneuvers of ehich i have done every type of in the 3 years that i've been personally driving it.

LOL. My brother forgot to change the oil as always and well... I felt the car loose oil pressure and piston 1 spin it's bearing from the sound and feeling. Mechanic confirmed my suspicion but it's also the case in Psiton 4 as well tho slightly less. Also bent the Piston rods due to carbon deposited spark plugs misfiring as someone had literally left masks and bank reciepts in my air intake
