To my info it was in discussion but never made, the current 1.6 comes in 1.6 SE Manuel DRL Headlights and the same for 1.6 4matic Halogen Front Lamps.

if 1.6 comes with CVT and DRL too then grande makes no sense.

X 1.6 Special edition comes with led projection and DRL, thats for sure. Also same wheels as grande

I was informed via Toyota Central - my sales officer Noman who took care of my previous 2015 and 2018 SE informed me for the 2022 1.6 SE.

Coming back 1.6cc 4speed auto fuel ave, the only way to improve is CVT transmission.

I checked same scanner in 2 different Cars both company cars were 2006 and were same 1.3 XLi version 2NZ-FE but did not work on same ECU model selection on scanner, in another car, had to change car model then it worked.

What could be the reason; in my initial thought, it came in my mind that might be default ECU was changed in any one of them.

Obd protocol initialization can be different depending upon region and generation even having same protocol+speed.
Different regions requires different initialization commands and so does the generations.
Sometimes it requires 2 different headers to communicate with car. With non standard obd pids.
You can go in the settings of application to see which AT commands it is using for communication.

Hello!! Just bought Altis 2005 auto and My Altis 1.8 auto (2005) is giving very low mileage, 6.75 km/l. Changed the plugs with the genuine copper plugs, changed the air filter, fuel system serviced. 225k ok the ODO. What could be the reason? Tyres are 185/65 R15.

i suggest to get it scanned properly to find out any abnormalities, specifically for the MAF and O2 sensor readings and performance.

as starter, you can clean the MAF with an electric contract cleaner ( residue free ), make is tight fit wihtout any leaks, check the condition or air filter. replace if needed, check the condition of coils. do u see any cracks, repairs done.

185/65/15 is just the right size, it wont effect fuel consumption in any way.

wat is ur driving pattern, does it involve too many starts and stops? have to pass thru many speed breakers, many traffic singals?

do u drive it in Normal or Power mode?

do u like to floor it when moving from stand still or gently let it catch momentum?

which fuel are u using?

in normal conditions, it will return u 10/11 km per liter if driven normally, not very cautious and not very hard. RPM range up to 2 - 2.5

on highway will return upto 15/16 km per liter if driven under 120 kph.

how did u calculate 6.75 per km?

did u fill up the tank and driven it till fuel end and fill up again to check the Km driven from fuel used?

I drive light footed normally. I checked the MAF sensor, it is loose. The air filter cover where the MAF fits has worn out threads so the MAF is not seated flush, one screw is loose not fitting at all, it just falls into the place when you try to screw it. Also MAF sensor is dirty so I ordered WD40 specialist contact cleaner (I saw your recommendation in this thread). No idea about coils will check those. I checked the fuel consumption on OBD scanner also I drove 90kms with tank full and after 90km I filled the tank again and it topped up after around 17ltrs.

i guess the MAF is missing o-ring on its neck, u need to find the right size so that there is no air leakage from this part, for the screws, either u try and repair the plastic thread on the intake pipe else use a little over sized screws to fit in, can be fixed easily, just look at the filament if its dusty and gunky then definitely needs cleaning.

how is the txn behaving? can u feel n count the shifts? do u lift the foot from gas pedal to let txn shift in higher gear?
do u feel TCC lock up at around 80 @ 2k RPM

at standstill, ebrake down, when u shift into D, the cars starts to crawl freely?

if it shudders and hesitates then the brakes might bhe stuck, need service and cleaning.

also try and check condition of cat conv, but dont let anyone touch the o2 sensor before it.

u can also clean the PCV easily, urself but be careful with the rubber pipe, with time and age it hardens and cracks when try to take off. its different from other corolla variants but other pipes can also fit with a little tweak,

whcih engine oil are you using? 10W-40 is okay, 20w-50 is a bit thick.

dont worry abt oil consumption, 1ltr over 5000km usage is normal.

I am sorry but I am not aware of these terms, I shifted from manual Baleno to this. Not sure what TXN is. I don't lift foot from the pedal for the gear shift. I do feel and can count the shift. I will start noticing from now. I think I have felt 3 gears but the 4th one is smooth or I am just concentrating on the road, ignoring the 4th shift. When I shift into D it just crawls very easily. I mean it doesn't crawl but leave.
For the cat converter, I asked Toyota dealership when I was buying parts, about the Cat converter, they said it doesn't have a cat converter, it came after 2010 so I am not sure if it's there.
I am not sure what oil is there? When I bought the oil was fine so I didn't change it. Also what's PCV?

i think ur AT (auto ttxn) is working fine.

as the car starts in 1st gear, then u feel 3 shifts ( thats ur 4 gears ), and after that u feel that car has become smooth, thats TC lock up happening, means the gear is at its final ratio and car is cruising.

u can ift ur foot from gas pedal to let it shift.

so when u shift the car in D, it starts rolling without even pressing the gas pedal?

yes ur car has a Cat Conv and o2 sensor, only this particular model havin 1zzfe engine got a cat conv, other models like Xls/Gli/Se saloon etc dont have it.

can u reach 120/130 relatively easily, without feeling that engine is struggling?

u can ask the previous owner about it, its a bit important, u need to know which oil has been used mostly. BTW it takes 4.250 liters of engine oil.

Also check the previous owner about Auto Txn oil change, it needs to be changed every 40km, u can check it by inspecting the dip stick, its a yellow stick in the right side of engine bay.

if u can feeling burning odour and oil is very dark in color, then better change it,

PCV is postive crank pressure valvle, its under the engine cover on the upper right side of engine, get clogged up if not cleaned ever, need to spray carb cleaner after opening it and shake it, if it clicks then working fine, else repeat.

Yes it starts rolling without even pressing the pedal. Gear transmission was recently changed when I bought the car. I'll ask him about the oil. Haven't tried to reach 120/130 because I have only driven it within Karachi and you know the traffic these days. I'll post some pictures of gear oil.
