Big disadvantage is error in speedometer.
year 2000 onward the Vehicle Speed Sensors ( VSS ) are connected to the odo meter., so size of tyre have almost negligible affect.
heavy wheels / tyres or out of spec wheels/ tyres are indeed an issue for fuel efficiency.
Currently using 195/65R/15 in my 2007 Gli but planning to install 185/65R/14 this time as I have to get tires changed in a week, I always use steel rims and alloys if came FF.
Love the grip, stability and lightness of OEM steel rims.
i am getting 12 km/l with ac in city and 14 km/l with ac on long route. fuel economy is okay but fuel mixture seems rich. exhaust gases smell like petrol with little black soot deposits near exhaust tail. all sensors are super clean and no check light ever.
it also depends upon the fuel quality...i suggest dont mess with it
Assalam AlaikumMy Altis Dumba is giving very bad fuel economy like 6.5 - 7 with AC in city with lightfoot. What should I do to improve it. Is exhaust system the reason behind this as few days ago my silencer pipe broken and when I went to silencer wala he said you should also clean its filter this is the cause of your pipe break I couldn't understand why is this the reason but anyhow I only got the pipe welded . I also got spark plugs checked but ustad said " abhee chalain gay" now what do u guys suggest me. PS my Altis is Auto (1ZZ-FE)

@smartdevil_striker: The engine and transmission is the same for both 2005 and 2019 1.3cc but the new comes with 15'' rims and this 2005 - 05 with 14'', but if changing 2007 to 15'' rims results poor fuel ave. This drives me nuts.

Does this car have a hard power steering if compared to civic 2000 vti oriel? Because I have corolla 2002 se saloon and my father said the steering is this hard from the start. It is difficult to steer with one hand fast.
