So now the latest situation: Sometimes there are problem arising and then they vanishes. Like last week when car starts it burbs for 30 to 60 seconds and then normal. I think these are only the engine whereas I am in favour of buying complete engine with wiring/ecu as those Japanese engine are different from our engines like o2 sensor and vvti enabled

Hi,

Although i had heard names like Chua, Dadu (City 2003 - 2006) but i had never heard of the nick name Dumba for my corolla. Anyway i also happen to have one in pristine condition and some of the pictures are given below. Its a GLi 1.3 litre

2006 without ABS braking. When i took these pictures i had not installed alloy rims but now my car has them from the same Dumba shaped altis vvti (geniuin rims).

I have had this dumba for a couple of years now and believe me it is a great car to have. The fuel economy is excellent and there is hardly any maintenance cost. I have clocked 160ks on the odometer and got some suspension job done.

I am having some problems with the car. Although these are very ignorable but a petrol head like me wants a car that 100%.
1. There is a vibration at 40km/h when accelerating from the left side. I got one excel changed and this problem has been there ever since. My mechanic says that there is some problem with the inner cups of the excel and that is resulting in the vibration. If someone could elaborate/help here is will be gratefull.
2. There is steering wheel vibration at 110 km/h. I have got all the wheels balanced and non of the rims are fualty.
3. There is engine idling issue. When stopping at a red light, the engine rpm drops below 750 rpms momentarily and then returns back to its actual position. This problem happens only when the ac is running and does not occur without ac.The engine vibrates as if it is going to stall until the ECU kicks in trying to correct the situation but struggles to do so and the rpm just goes haywire. There is no engine check light and no error codes. Sometimes it gets so worse for exacmple when the ac is running at full fan speed and headlights are at full beam (max. generator load). I have got the throttle body changed replaced with a kabli one and also got the fuel pumps replaced but still this problem has not been fixed. There is however one important point that i would like to share here. The previous owner was running the car on CNG and i threw it out as soon as i purchased the car.

Any one on this forum can help with his personal experience here please.

Your mechanic is right these are inner axcels, a common problem in this model.
Idle issue is due to head valve issue they become weak due to cng usage.

Do compression test which will elaborate engine health,i had same issue i increase idle engine speed to 1100 rpm which worked for me.

Cng ia poison for this engine n you will end up swapping assembly.i have seen 300k driven cars with zero vibration issue bcoz they are driven through out on petrol.

Are you sure auto has low average? 85k for complete wiring and ec?

I gurranty you, i have premio 2006 factory 1nz auto fitted max it gives is 10 local n 13 long.. N engine is in prestion condition now imagine how a swap one will give u more.
