To all the fans of indus corolla here, my best regards. does anyone here has owner manual of 2.0D (indus shape), lost mine a while back in some shifting. i just need to confirm a small thing, what are the recommended tyre sizes and associated tyre pressure PSI. back than toyota PK didnt bother putting the label on side door panels or pillars. i remember stock (non Alloy) steel ones in 2.0d were 165/ 70 R13 with steel rims & General tyres (i kind of have the spare wheel - not used) and didn't check but should be this). i shifted to 185/70 R13 with H speed rating & 86 load index at the first tyre change and ever since m stuck to this profile with 30 PSI pressure in all 4 tyres.
unfortunately, its hard to get this profile anymore in R13s or even dropping to 185/65 R13 doesnt help as S or lower speed rating or they have pathetic load index (too low) , between any lower speed or load index is not ideal for 2C engine in front....
just recently managed to get a year old (manufactured) Yokohama A drive in the desired specs but they are really out dated in terms of tread pattern and performance, so planning to shift to rim size 14 hence need the recommended tyre size and PSI....also till i dont shift to 14s, just wanna know wat PSI is recommended for 185/70 R13 profile.... and overall range specified in the owner manual for 2C engine in front. thats a damn heavy engine for indus hence PSI and tyre profiles might differ from petrol versions..

If u have that type of tool then sure u can adjust it easily otherwise the mechanic can do it easily but remember one thing over tightening will make it stiff n u loose it the steering will start shaking so ask mechanic to adjust it accordingly. Since m following u i think ur steering rack has been done now its time to change it with a good one it will cost u around 20k but first try to get it adjust by a mechanic

185/70/13 the same profile m using in my Indus n 30 psi is pressure in all 4 wheels same steel stock rims

Ok will check.I think while repair work of steering rack mechanic has overtightened the nut.That,s why it's hard.And power steering pump itself was fine and working ok before seal replacement.Also he removed the T from pump and said it can also leak from this area.And did alternation in high pressure pipe,s end connecting to pump.Pump isn't making noise.And rack was replaced 2 years ago with kabli one as it was leaking.

This pinion thingy was replaced it wasn't causing issue but the stupid mechanic overtightened the high pressure pipe connection causing the thing to slip and therefore whole steering rack was taken out to replace this part.
Now I want to know if this thing is faulty can it cause no power assist.

As much as i know the power steering is not easy job to be repaired and repairing this assembly isn't successful i could be wrong but this is what that i have listened from different mechanics. I have an extra assembly which is in perfect shape for some knowledge main usko khole k dekhu ga k kia scene ha. Well brother if the mechanic has made it out of order then its better to go for another good one otherwise spending money on this will not be fruitful

Pump is again leaked.No faida of repair.Going to install kabli pump.I think it's issue of pump now.

Thanks. ur is diesel? or petrol?. coz the bulge in sidewalls @30 PSI for 185/70 R13 is bit too much (weight of engine is big issue)... do u have the owner manual by any chance? have been for decades now @30 PSI but i am like stuck on the point that it has to be 32 PSI minimum to balance the bulge within the thresholds... hence need owner manual (maybe a clue dere). if nothing mentioned in owner manual at this profile than might have to evaluate R14 with 185/65 R14 or 195/65 R14 or something of this sort.... but thats like another few thousand KMs away.

Tried 195/65R14 used to hit front fender shields.I use 32 psi in winters and 30 psi in summer with 185/70R14.Suspension is smooth and grip is also good.

Chorein rebuild ka.2 bar seal daal chuka hoon.Phir leak.Ab kaam nahi kar raha bilkul awaz bhi hai.Dosra 1nz engine ka 5,000 ka milta hai pindi se shaid wo daldo.Ek bande ne dala acha kaam karta hai.
