Yes 5efe will work.
First be sure W pinout of ecu is connected to check light of the meter
Now turn the Ignition switch to On position where speedometer lights turn on
Now short the TE1 pinout wire to the ground, as soon as you ground that wire ecu goes in diagnosis mode and will remain in until you break the connection.
Check turns off and blink if there's any code
Count the blinks ,
It would be in a pattern with pause. Great pause mean another number.
Eg blink - pause of 0.5 sec - blink -- pause of 1.5sec -- blink -pause of 0.5 sec - blink and sequence repeats , this means 22 code

Hell yeah
Just Love modification and experiments.
But factory turbo is always easy to tune.
That's why i will swap 4agZe in my ae80.
Right now it's having 5afe with 4afhe throttle body and 4afe injectors , basically a 5af converted to E by myself.

holly smokes !!! yeah the factory compressor has a perfect match for the mass air flow and volumetric efficiency !! even im planing to turbo this 4efe but should do some calculations and research on that !!

Yeah already everything is set in a factory turbo engine. Just minor tweats and you can get a great Hp gain
I would suggest swapping block with 4efte. As you need to lower the compression of 4efe so rather then doing that just swap 4efte block with pistons etc.
Thanks ... yes same series means many parts are exchangeable. The most interesting thing was fuel rail. As injectors are not aligned with the holes which are already done on carby head. So i moded the fuel rail. And made a adopter to occupy injectors.

ohhhh okay !!! bro i still need to wire up my radiator fan !! its kinda tricky !! doe sthe signal to the fan relay comes from the ECU ?

Fan has its fail save relay mechanism.
Ecu just gets signal from relay that fan is running so IAC adjust the rpm.
ELS (electric load signal) is the pinout where you can connect the load with relay which gives signal to ecu. Signal is Positive but i'm not sure because my ecu doesnot show response on either current direction.

This is the example of ELS connection

For fan. You have to use normal closed connection of relay 87a. Because auto fan switch is short until temperature increases to ideal. When it become open relay turn off and fan start working.
