Dear friends, another update is here on wheel arches that I started off initially to be built in fiberglass and got skin allergy & ended up getting these made in metal. The double-slope design is inspired by Toyota's original 70 series fender flares & Vigo's bumper profile, just slightly over-sized & tailored.
Marked the area to be covered.

Styrofoam sheets cut & trimmed to the basic shape

Smoothed with an electric planner & finished with a manual one

Ready bases

Mocked & checked

Fiberglass sheets wrapped on the Styrofoam

Unlike the standard practice of applying fiberglass sheet/pieces with raisin dipped brush or soaked in it, this method of wrapping sheet works when using Styrofoam as base or mold. Somehow the chemicals in raisin deform & melt the styrofoam. Here is the sample. The above piece was done as per typical procedure.

Raisin applied

Marked & Nuts grounded on arched flares

The reproduction in sheet-metal. These are fully closed from all sides to prevent any mud or dust staying in there

Front mudguards were also widened accordingly by 2.5" just to be aligned with the outer edge of the tire tread leaving the side wall bulge still visible. The extension is so subtle that hopefully it will go unnoticed once its finished with paint.
Mocked-up
