Toyota Fortuner Officially Launched by IMC in Pakistan

i'd like to get genuine Push Start and Auto trunk installed on my 2017 Fortuner.
Just asked Toyota Southern Motors Dealership, they're saying IMC is not offering such installations as yet. Any leads, where i can get these two genuine parts fixed?

Aftermarket push start is never a good option IMO. I remember I checked a device (250$) on Aliexpress and the seller told me that you need to cut the key and it needs to be inside the key ignition position all the time and that part would be covered by the cover in our kit and blah blah. Didn’t seem feasible to me from security point of view.

I have driven it around 600kms so far, went for glass coating and roof wrap in gloss black. Really digging the new looks. Made a little video featuring Toyota Fortuner in GTA V and in Real Life!

Need advise regarding registration of New Sigma 4 Fortuner. My car has arrived at the dealership however the dealership is asking 2,80,000 for registration. Is this the correct amount?
As per my calculations being a filer it should be around 2,50,000/- based on 4% vehicle value for Sindh registration.

Could any fellow member guide regarding this? Can I take the papers and go to excise and do registration my self?
I am in Karachi.

Going to excise will be a great hassle until you have some serious good contact inside.
I ended up paying a total of 253,000 including 5000 for choice number and 8000 or 9000 for agent charges for door to door service arranged by the dealership. I am a filer!

i got registered my sigma at Rs. 254,800/ including 2 digit special islamabad number. Hired no agent . We must avoid Paying Bribe for simple things like these.

Yes, I too am of the view that agent and bribe culture should be suppressed and be avoided as much as possible. But the sad reality is it has penetrated so much into our government departments that it becomes next to impossible to get any work done without greasing a few hands or knowing any higher ups. Otherwise be ready for the khuari.
Islamabad's system may have improved. I really hope one day I too can say the same for Karachi.

So what is the opinion of worthy forum members now. Should new buyer go for diesel fortuner at the cost of more price ,noise and maintenance or opt for petrol fortuner at the cost of 4x2.

whats the point of having a SUV if it doesn't have 4x4? there is only a 3 lac difference between them. If the difference was 10 lacs then yes the 4x2 would be a good option but at 3 lacs not much.

Its not about money for most people buying Fortuner. Its about Diesel vs Petrol. I personally don't want diesel as I will not be towing caravans with it.

Diesel sales are declining worldwide as governments are imposing new taxes because of NOX emissions.

Best thing to do is wait for launch of 4x4 Petrol Fortuner, which will eventually happen.
