Yes u r right, now there is no meaning to get a 5years old 2.7L tx prado when you can get a similar brand new ride with a little compromise in ride comfort and head room while also saving 2million.
However id say if anyone has a bugdet of 8million then he should get a tz 4.0 prado Or get a 4.0 tx for 7 million coz the v6 is a charm to drive.

Well so far what I have learnt is Eco mode is what delays throttle response and quickens gear shifts while powerful quickens throttle response and increases torque demand for each gear to shift.
ECO is helpful for those with a heavy foot otherwise kills your drive pleasure for a little gain in fuel economy! Powerful is not required until you need sudden abrupt acceleration in the case of highway overtaking or a drag!
simple press twice the ECO button to disengage and put the vehicle in Normal mode and with a light foot and predictive drive to glide and minimal braking on Shahrefaisal off peak drive can achieve 9km/ltr plus im city and 11+ average on highway staying below 115km/hr.

Just received my ride, Super White (Masha Allah), Super Good, Alhamdolillah.
Shall post the pictures soon.
Few basic questions about Navigation and infotainment system.
How do you activate Navigation, mine is stuck with Islamabad on screen......
Anyway of watching videos through USB or SD card. Mine says "videos prohibited" while driving and even play list is not accessible. once you stop the car, videos run fine.

BTW, little bit disappointed with suspension and feel gurgling like "Missing" while driving.

Congrats brother... Welcome to the club! There is not much to be disappointed as every thing has got the fix... Don't worry enjoy... It's the best decision you have made in the value vs money can buy in Pakistan.

Check your tyre pressure... First. Secondly suspension will become soft as you drive the first initial 5000kms.. You will feel mark difference after 2000km mark. Fuel economy will also improve.
In ECO mode fortuner does grugling but after 1000 km checkup will considerably go.. Press ECO button twice to disengage and drive on normal mode with light foot. Eco mode compromises pleasure for saving very little.
Waiting for pics.. Remember not to let anyone wash your fortuner with surf even dealerships use surf... Give them shampoo prior to service.

Regarding navigation haven't tried usb as I use miracast function to mirror my smartphone and enjoy videos with excellent sound quality.
Mine works fine with the map... Have you set your home etc..

Appreciate you, taking time out to reply.
I have not tried ECO mode as yet since I know it will ruin the driving pleasure.
This machine has everything you expect from a luxury vehicle but with almost 400 on ODO I am still not pleased with gurgling kind of hick ups (even though I am using Premium Gasoline) and stiff suspension. Current tyre pressure is 25 PSi.
Hopefully it will get better with time. I was expecting it to be underpowered but to my surprise, the response time is exceptionally good. Entertainment system is great. As for the Navigation, I have been told that the Indus might have forgot to attach the Antenna cable to the system and now I have to go to the showroom and have them open the console and fix it. A true Nightmare.

Did a bit of light off-roading.. Seriously pleased with the paddle shifters in hill descend while 5 people on board it climbed a fair bit of steep hill on a sand and gravel path easily.
In the manaual its instructed that you should drive 16kms on 4x4 H4 a month to keep drive shafts lubricated & functioning otherwise the oil inside starts to clog and 4x4 function becomes rough and compromised when engaged in need.

You drove all the way to BTK to taste sand? Clifton beach and do-Darya offer better challenging terrains to flex fortuner's muscles. 45 degree inclines, dry sand, wet sand and negotiating uneven terrain with rocky obstacles.

Have you gotten it under coated yet?
