Most are booked by premium investors. There are currently 30 brand new Fortuners on sale on premium on Pakwheels out of 90 total ads. Also corporate, government and army demand is high for Fortuner. Indus Motors production capacity for Fortuner is only 250 per month. They should be increasing their production capacity instead of refusing clients. I too had to use a reference to book one in June, delivery in December.

People who are paying premium on Fortuner especially after price increase are insane.

Price: 5.4 million
Withholding Tax: 0.4 million (non filer)
Registration: 0.25 million
Premium: 0.7 million

Total Price: 6.75 million

You can find 3-4 years old TX Prado in that price which has far better built quality than local Fortuner and comes with push start, VSC, TRC, comfortable seats, comfortable suspension etc. I am personally considering cancelling booking after price hike with no added features.

Is it possible that I can sell my booking to someone else? No premium, just the down payment that I made. I can cancel for full refund because of price hike, but I will have to wait 30 days to get a check from Indus Motors.

Don't know. PBO form is on my name, also they have taken 250K cash for registration. They said that they take registration payment before booking to avoid premium investors. Booked from Toyota Walton Lahore

Guys.. Reminder dont forget to drive atleast 10km on 4H 4x4 if not 16kms every month.
Anyone planning Gorakh hills 40- 50 degree climbs and Nagar Parker thar.. Its beautiful these days on Fortuners. Gorakh hill road is somewhat now metalled. Desert is an addiction to drive once mastered. Thar got recently rained and its green with dancing peacocks..

Paddle shifters will be a charm bell to ring while downhill descend from Gorakh 6000fts in 18kms.

Driving on mountains in tall SUV without VSC doesn't sound that beautiful to me. VSC is so important for safety that Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have made it compulsory for all passenger vehicles to have VSC. Only in Pakistan will you find a "luxury" SUV without VSC.

Its there and minor firmware patch will activate it... Get it diagnosed on.. It's masked for no good reason.. If you check the rpm meter inside dial closely you will find traction control and VSC symbols hidden.

Cancelled my booking for full refund today. This was not an easy decision. Reason is price increase with no added features while introducing features like VSC, TRC, Push Start in Corolla which should be standard in so called higher end Fortuner.

I will consider booking again if they offer these standard features in future within reasonable price.

Wait patiently ... had a talk with one of salesman in Toyota GT motors ,, he said next year they will offer additional features... I m also waiting for upgraded model of fortuner
