The original dunlops were adjusted for 18500 each. Yokohama tires were for 32k each so i had to pay a difference of 54k.

I had seen a few people in this forum who shifted to 285 tires so i thought they would be fine. And they do give the car a different stance which looks good and a wider footprint is better for handling. Anything else i should consider apart from taking off the mud flaps? Should i consider shifting back to 265's?

Geolanders somehow have a wider profile amongst tires of similar specs. At least was my experience.
Please check overall specs including sidewall height and compare with what others had. '285' alone does not tell complete specs.

Geolanders are definitely wide... Kumho is perfectly fine for fortuner and in my use for now almost a year and 20,000kms.

Keep 27 front & 28 rear and check... Geolanders are a bit tall for sure.

No need to worry... New tires adjust in 100 kms run but make sure they are not rubbing... Open windows drive in late night at slow speed.. Take full turns forward and reverse both and notice any rubbing noise and sniff the tires after talking turns.

So I heard the sound you mentioned. Its actually fuel slushing around in the tank. Can be heard when fuel level is between 30-50%

Does anyone know if installing push start and power tailgate in current vehicles will be possible or not once the features become available?

Upgrades will be possible and will be bolt on.. Even traction control will be possible to install but will be at a cost.. Indus will provide it as factory install option at the dealerships but later after the launch of the new models.

Reliability score of Dawar bhai is relatively low. Otherwise he has oceans of information.

Check the fortuner speedometer RPM side with keen detail and you will notice traction control & VSC icons masked but its there.

With bookings closed for last so many months, and an unfortunate price hike eminent now, I am not too hopeful of my chances with the fortuner this year. Still, lets hope for the best.

By the way, Toyota Australia hacked the price of entire fortuner line up by about AUS $5k each, due to poor sales. This was just a few months ago.

With the dollar like this... A rise of 89k for the fortuner & 74 k for the ReVo is under consideration for 31st January 2018 price revision for the current stock/ version.
No news for the Price confirmation of upcoming new Fortuner & ReVo 2018 Price ...but a 60 Lacs and 49 lacs ReVo invoice is not Far from reality this year. Election Year...

Prado starts from 54,000 AUD and Fortuner started from 48,000 AUD in Australia. Not much price difference. Why would anyone buy Fortuner when they can buy Prado for a few more bucks. I think thats why they cut the price of Fortuner. New price is AUD 42,590 which takes it out of competition from Prado.

Parado is a 5 seater but fortuner is a 7 seater SUV, other plus of fortuner is the same engine options as of parado plus coolbox and new design etc
