There is no 4L Fortuner.

Only 2.8L diesel (GD engine) and 2.7L Petrol will be coming:

4x4 Diesel High Spec
4x2 Petrol High Spec

4x2 Petrol 2700cc or diesel 2400cc.

All above will be introduced strategically with time intervals and not together.

Was quite for the last week... Trying to get early blue prints of the brochure but...

There is also a highly speculated Seth variant
2700cc same engine with push start, traction control, auto tail gate & front cam with 2 lacs price increment on top.. You never know but Sethocracy wins here not market research/customer opinion demand or global tech.

I have also heard the same from two three different sources. A diesel variant and a petrol 2.7 Seth edition with all the bells and whistles like @Dawar mentioned. Rs. 1,82,000/- price increment to be exact.

This is not advisable on road. If very eager you can go at 20km/h or less with steering kept straight, but best to avoid it. It leads to transmission wind-up, which is detrimental for the drivetrain, and in bad cases such as accidental 4x4 use on highway, it can even lead to explosions, serious injury, or death.

Exactly.. Need to be very careful on metal road .. Straight drive low speed... 4Lo not recommended.. Better choise to drive off-road anywhere available in laps if not long enough ...

Toyota Jinnah Motors gave me test drive of Revo and Fortuner. Ask them if they have a unit available. Show them that you are interested in buying the vehicle.

Bookings are expected to open in the second week of February.

Dear Fortuner owners,

Any clues where one can find (in Lahore) a good overhead rack + cross bars. I am looking for the ones which have a lid / are water proof and hv an aerodynamic profile.

Also I might have missed a post but any suggestions on recommended fuel. Recently switched from Total to Shell (super) and feel the engine has a better response. Can I use Shell's V-power (hi octane). Not sure if this high octane fuel in Pk is really lead free as the manual does not recommend leaded fuels, besides they are also detrimental to our environment.

Sharing a link showing recommended fuel octane ratings for Toyotas. It suggests 91 RON for the 2TR-FE engine.

Shell Pakistan's official website states V-Power having minimum 95 RON. Would it be appropriate to use it in the Fortuner keeping in mind the compression ratio etc.

Hv driven approx 7,000 kms and the fuel average during city driving is around 5.5 Km / L.

5.5 is a bit low though.. In the heaviest of the conditions 6.4-6.6 is what's the average on 92 ron.
