If it's 55 lac then I am out. I can by a Mercedes for less than 4 million or newer Surf. If I have to spend 5.5 million I better go for a Prado for 6 million.

I need a bigger car by mid February and I don't see a confirm launch date or a price. Speculated price is quite high so I am going to start window shopping from next week.

yaar get some confirmed news. yeh na ho keh mein khareed loon aur baad mein Fortuner ke price bhe 4 million ho.
I haven't started yet but I am going to Jail Road on Saturday to look for Surf or Prado that's around 4.5 million. I might go upto 5 mill for Prado.

since the political situation of the country is pathetic these days, Dont expect much before the second quater, How ever theirs some auto show at karachi starting today i.e 11-1-2013, Maybe well see or hear something there, if their are any future plans from the local assemblers, Al-haj faw, Suzuki, Toyota and Honda are major sponsors so im expecting their might be some display cars aswell.

By the way I also think the same, looking at political situation Toyota might delay the launch but they also have a very good opportunity to make huge sales since Fortuner will be required by a lot of election candidates. If they want to catch that opportunity then they should launch it right away so they have enough time to catch up with the demand.

^ Its not launched, so bringing it their wasnt practical i guess, the ones imported might be their, Acutaly it was a autoparts show,, not a car show,

Secondly, obviusly if they want to launch it by march they should have assembled some units by now since display units should be avalible in all cities and all showrooms.

I found a couple of nice Surfs in 4 million range. Surf is pretty good but very rare compared to Prado and Vigo. I don't want to buy 03-04 Prado because those are pretty old and quite used. I still have until mid of February to decide so I will keep looking and waiting for Fortuner until then.
I checked with another dealer today, they still have no news on Fortuner. You are the only one on this forum claiming that it's ready and close to launch. Can you get some confirm news from your guy? I think we are still far from launch since your guy hasn't also confirmed the price or launch date. And with the current political situation investors are packing bags and holding off any purchasing. I am sure Toyota must be planning on delaying the launch but if elections are announced in a week or two then Toyota should also announce Fortuner the very next day to take maximum benefit.
