Toyota GLi Auto 2018 Brake Noise

Salam.
I am new to Toyota Corolla Gli . When i am applying brakes , there is brake noise , what is this sound, secondly plz let me know which oil should i buy for Toyota Corolla 1.3 Gli Auto. Toyota dealers are expensive, from where can i get oil changed of Corolla in Karachi. Your reply will be appreciated

brake noise comes when the brake disc pads have worn out. its by design.

so you need to replace brake disc pads accordingly.

Use 5w30 oil which is recommended, dealerships use the wrong grade oil of 20w50. Leppon / vic / genuine oil filter will all be great.

Every 5000 kms/6 months change your oil as well as the filter and you will be all set.

My preference would be Total Quartz 5w30 but since I am boycotting all companies of France I am using Shell HX7 5w30 for the time being.

Caltex Havoline Fully Synthetic 5w30 is even better as Shell HX7 is not fully synthetic and rather semi-synthetic oil.

I suggest you all to boycott all companies of France just like I and brother @murtazamohammad54 did!

@alibintahir , I agree and the only problem is fake oils over here and I will most likely search for caltex fully synthetic for the next oil change.

Strongly agree with you, that's why I always go to the official retailers of Caltex Havoline to buy the genuine product. Other than that, there are also some checks from which you can confirm that the oil which you're using is genuine or fake.
If you're in the twin cities, I can help you out in locating the official retailers of Caltex Havoline.

I am from Karachi, very hard to trust any retailers words here. It is a trial and then see experience for oils, better safe than sorry. Would appreciate if anyone shares where I can get genuine oil from.

I today called Toyota Eastern Motorsand then they told me they would charge me 6000 for just checking my car up and addtional 5000 for oil change etc etc

Can anyone suggest me local shops ie Shell Petrol pumps who are good at maintaining Corolla in Karachi

There is a Caltex shop in DHA Phase 1. Right next to Pakparadise store, near McDonalds. That is a company operated shop

Isn’t there any warranty of the car left? Ask them to inspect it under warranty if its still valid as car is 2018 model.

Brother i hv purchased it just a month ago its 21000 driven
I am 2nd owner. Secondly before Khota Corolla I had Suzuki Alto
So I am experiencing brake grinding noise
Also i am thinking to get the oil changed

Most likely brake pads of your car have worn out and need replacement. If that’s the case, then meter of your car has definitely been reversed at the time of sale. Its better to change transmission oil too if its an automatic car because previous owner might haven’t replaced it.

I got my car inspected from Pakwheels.

At that time they said everything is fine .

Test drive was also perfect

Pakwheels or any other service can never verify if meter is tempered because there’s no way to check it. They can only tell you physical condition of vehicle.

Don’t forget to change transmission oil if brake pads have worn out. Transmission oil lasts 40,000 KMs only and driving car without changing it will cause irreversible damage to the transmission.

By Transmission oil , you mean gear oil in general

Irony of our society, if i will goto any Toyota dealership for just checking my car up then they are gna hand over me hefty invoice , even if nothing were to change in it but they would do this to any new customer like me who knows nothing about this car

Don’t worry. Simply ask them to inspect the brake pads. Original brake pads are expensive but I personally prefer them because if you don’t invest on brakes and tyres, don’t expect the car to save you if you ever get to see some unfortunate moment where you have to press emergency brakes and need road grip.
And yes, transmission oil means gear oil.
