Toyota Hilux Without ABS

Toyota has been heavily advertising its Hilux range in media these days, so that prompted me to visit Toyota Indus website. But I was appalled to look at the spec for the standard version and found that a car that costs almost PKR 2.4 million (standard version) does not include ABS.

I think to sell a car with that power and size without ABS is criminal. We just need to visit any Toyota dealership to see a que of Corollas with crumpled fronts, usually a result of locked wheels in case of emergency braking.

Someone must take Toyota to task for this deliberate negligence. ABS should be standard on all car of the size they make in Pakistan.

Just to add to it the standard version does not have air-conditioning as well...

Very good point, but since they usually run behind the big-wig's car, maybe it is a good idea to leave ABS out…

we deserve this, since importing JDM vehicles is not allowed, 3 yrs old cars cost more than 2011 cars in Pakistan due to taxes,
meaning car manufacturers monoply!

Can anyone tell a single car model make even the cheapest one assembled in Japan after 1995 not equipped with ABS, It happens only in Pakistan.

thats social dilema then..as we know a/t cars in USA/Europ/Middle east have more value and resale as compared to manual totally opposite to Pakistani market..

I thot the same untill i figured that its imposible to steer the car without ABS.

With ABS steering is totaly in control even if the car doesnt stops you can steer is some where else.
