no idea about CKP in 5a, but yes its there in last gens of 4a and 7a.

There is no knock sensor in these A series engine. It came in Z series.

Xabardast,clean engine.i will suggest you to replace water pump and timing belt before putting engine into car,to avoid inconvience in future.

It will work fine for not more than 6-7 months.its because engine is not in use from unkown period,water is removed and it is exposed to air,which is responsible for corrosion.moreover,seal of water pump becomes hard and with passage of time it start passing water to bearing.

Its easier to replace belt and pump while engine is out. Also make sure that engine has working thermostat valve in place and pour caltex or toyota coolant in it don’t run on plain water. Check cooling system hoses and radiator too.

I have CNG fitted previously in 2E, after the swap should I keep the CNG with 5A-FE? What is the impact on engine life while using CNG? Any advice in this regard please?

Never ever install cng, its a slow poison for an engine, plus who wants cng when fuel prices are already low, drive it at petrol & enjoy it.

Throw out cng with all its fitting. Use it on petrol. With proper tune this engine will return you atleast 11-12km/l local and 15-16km/l on long.

Use 10W30 or 10W40 engine oil don’t use 20W50. When its fitted in the bay don’t forget to take compression readings.
