Should I just go with fixing it ? Or ask him for replacement as the blue smoke could be due to multiple reasons?

Now there is blue smoke coming out on high RPM. Going tomorrow again to get it checked.

Thats really very depressing for you. This is why we all were requesting you again and again to do your homework and market research properly, before finalizing your decision.

Lagta hai aap b engine seller (kabariye) ki baaton mai agaye thy. Sir swapping such an old engine is a gamble here. Nobody tells you truth, everybody just wants to sell off his stock.

Dont worry Abubakr bhai, things will get well soon. Of course, you got some lesson to learn but in a very hard way. I was lucky for sure, but I took proper time & market survey before finalizing the engine, and I think that's the 2nd reason for my successful swap.

Till now, I have done 2 engine swaps & both are successful on the 1st attempt Alhamdolillah.

First of all, get the compression test done on this engine. If results lie within the acceptable range i.e. 160psi minimum then get the head and valve seal job done on this engine.

If compression is low, phr jaa k gardann pakar lain engine walay ki, and ask him to replace it.

Took the car to the mechanic, they checked the smoke issue by removing the exhaust pipes from the engine and revved up the engine and no blue smoke came instead light white smoke came. They say the blue smoke is because of the stuff in pipes, so we got a few more days warranty and will clean the exhaust at service station, change engine oil and ride for 50 to 60 km to clean it up and then check the smoke. Hoping its not engine issue.

I could not go to G-12 for compression test as its very far, i ll try to there tomorrow. If anyone can recommend near adyala road or in or around saddar area that would be much helpful.

We checked it to another friend shopkeeper in that market he also said it may not be engine and do the steps I mentioned above.

Bilal bhai kabariye tau top cover ehsaan kar ke kholte hain, compression test kahan karnay dete hain aur na un ko iss ka pata hota hai. Wo bus pully ko ghuma ke pressure check kartay hain.

Ahan, oil in exhaust also cause blue smoke, better to get it cleaned or drive the car on motorway for about 60 kms, doing this also cleans the exhaust.

Still I would suggest you to get the compression test done, it will give you either a peace of mind or a bigger headache.

Yes they don't allow compression test.
But you can look on intake and exhaust ports to know the condition and also coolant lines.
You can still take headers off it will tell you about the smoke or can check plug.

Had it been a heresay, I wouldn't have believed it but I have seen by my own self scrappies busy in cleaning engine internals with their self prepared cleaning solution and brushes, now how one can ascertain the engine condition just by looking its condition.

What about check engine light?and fuel pump relay?

Check engine light got working and also fuel pump relay installed but on my own meaning not included in the deal. The relay functions such that it does not operate the pump but only during engine turn on. The electrcian said it does not come in this corolla. Now how can I argue with him so he installed two relays under the dash on driver side. He said now if the switch is mistakenly left on it won't hurt the pump.

I plan to do the conpression test tomorrow.

Yes they do that too. Even they wash head. But you can differentiate coolant line which are recently cleaned. Because they will not be smooth.
You cannot relay on only compression test. Because they usually install new rings before putting it for sale

did you swapped this motor recently ? if yes, then congratulations, you have got the latest i.e. 3rd gen 5afe (originally came in ae111) which is much better in terms of economy & power as compared to the older ones.
