Just like what @usmantariq21 said go for dunlop. Good tyres in reasonable prices.

Bridgestone a good brand but hard tyres, else u will find in 165 are off the market brands like nexen, maxxis etc which i dont recommend as their availablity is limit to that shop dealer only and if out of stock u wont be finding one elsewhere easily.

Depends when did you done tunning last time. Ask your mechanic check plugs if they are rusted or burnt then tunning is highly recommended and you should go for throttle cleaning too. It will increase fuel milleage. Cost of tunning is 400 to 500 except spray cost which is used for throttle cleaning

Everyone, I wanted to ask, if anyone is in Lahore (near Model Town/Peco Road, Industrial Estate) and has a 2006-2017 Daihatsu Boon that currently has ANY Check Engine Lights or any CVT/ABS/PBC or any errors, please contact me.

I have just purchased a new 2017 Toyota Diagnostic Unit/Genuine Diagnostic tools and I need a few people who are willing to come by and let me see if my diagnostic unit will work on their cars. So far, my diagnostic unit has worked for the latest 2017 Land Cruiser, 2017 Prius JDM models, Lexus CT200h and RX450H, 2006-2017 Passo (KGC30 and M700A), 2010-2017 Pixis Epoch and many other vehicles.

If anyone with a Daihatsu Boon (Preferably those with Key Free System/Push Start) are interested in a free Diagnostic check, please reply back or message me on private message. Thanks

hmm... Good advise, will give it a try. but does anyone know the exact adapter size/number we need to passo since I cant find a CAT for Passo/Boon on ALIEXP.

@msabbasi, i consulted with the exhaust guy here in the local market regarding the temporary modification but he is recommending not to do it for 2 reasons,
1. those CATs are not designed for high temperature and they stop working after a month or so.
2. car will sound like a broken horse (his words not mine) since the CAT is not only saving the environment but also controlling the exhaust pressure. to solve the issue he will have to fit another "dholkee" to the exhaust which required cut and weld job.

any comments? I think i can live with the first problem but not the 2nd one.

Sir in this case I would advise you to try to find a CAT from the secondhand market. In this way there is no cutting involved, you retain the performance of the car and the check engine light will go away.
If you are in Islamabad/Pindi Cha Sultan may surprise you. Be prepared to spend almost a day and wear your walking shoes.

I agree with your exhaust guy, the car will sound like a horse . I can tell a car without a CAT from a mile away just by its horse sound. BTW how does this guy say that the mini cat stops working after a month. How many has he installed? If he has experience of installing many of them, so does that means they are freely available here?!?

well apparently he has never installed them in the past but as someone else mentioned here he is the "USTAD" type and claims he knows everything :P. only reason i go to him is because he will make any modification you want unlike other mechanics who start a 2hrs long story of "JENEUN". will try and order one to see if its anything useable and 2nd hand CAT is actually a good idea let me get some price idea on that.

i can tell you a decent good hardworking mechanic in G-10, his name is Abbasi and he is working near the main road side of the automarket. he is not very good with electronics but for mechanical this guy is quiet useful. also non-hostile type of mechanic .

For computer related issues I was super impressed by Toyota GT located on the way to Wah (via GT road). They have all the software to diagnose issues and on top of that the technicians know how to use the diagnostic devices plus decode the error codes. They don't go about mucking about here and there with everything with the hope that something will fix the problem.

Hi there

I just bought a boon 2007. I am facing an issue since I bought it and travelled to my home. Almost done 13 km on ac at 12 am and the car engine becomes hot. The HF indicator doesnt turn on but physically the engine seems hot and the bonnet as well. Today, I drove around 20 km with ac on, faced the same issue. Turned off the car and switched it back on, the HF indicator turned red and after starting self, the light went off but the engine was yet hot, so was the bonnet. Got the radiator serviced today with coolant and still facing this issue. Fan is auto, thermostat valve is inside. Shall i get rid of thermostat valve and switch the fan to manual? Or how to resolve it? Help please.

What do you mean by HF? Do you mean high temperature sign?
And yes Passo get pretty hot so it's the weather.. I think no need to worry.
Use food quality coolant such as Toyota coolant.
