How to know if transmission oil needs a change if its level is ok?

Open your engine, to the right you will see a dipstick with a yellow handle (not the oil stick), the level is indicated on it.

In order to see the quality of the oil, the usual way is to determine it via the color, if the oil is clean and reddish then there is no need for a change, but if it is blackish then you definitely need a change. Here's an image for your perusal

Can anyone tell me is there any difference between 2014 Passo Eco vs 2014 Non Eco model apart from this auto start/stop function?

I have heard that apart from this start stop feature Suzuki Alto Eco is also 50 kgs lighter that its older model. Is Passo Eco also lighter than its predecessor?

In Karachi's traffic this auto start stop feature is useless. If there are no other fuel saving features are present i"ll opt for the 2014 older lights model as it is approx. 50-70 thousand cheaper.

Kindly advise.

IMO eco idle (start stop) function doesn't help much.. Instead hybrid is more economical option..
Get hybrid or normal exo idle doesn't help

Dear this mileage achieved in ideal conditions. Even 2013 Passo is mentioned to deliver around 20km/l. But in reality in Karachi city no مائی کا لعل has managed to go beyond 14 or 15. However in ISB people have reported to achieve 18.
So it all depends on traffic conditions.

Don't buy it only for the ECO IDLE feature.. It's not much of use I think.
Instead hybrid will save you a lot.

I think there are a few more differences but I am not 100% sure. (1) Wheel diameter is 1" more. (2) Vehicle stability feature is standard. (3) Engine management is different as a result of the Eco Idle feature - parts such as sensors etc. not interchangeable.

As other's have said that Eco Idle feature is a bit annoying in start/stop traffic. There is a very small fuel saving with this feature. On my son's car, over a period of 2 months, it has totaled about 2 hours of time when the car was actually off. This 2 hours would have been spent idling and burning fuel at traffic lights etc.

I have a toyota passo 14/17 ( 4×4 ), which I recently bought and after buying it I came to know that it was a 4×4 version. Is there any way to shift it to 2 wheel drive ?

Low fuel average, it gives only 7-9 kms/litre in city while on highway it gives 11-14. I've heard that by removing a certain shaft connecting the rear wheels to gear system, it can be converted to 4×2

Yes, it can be converted but of almost no use, i have heard that there is only a little difference in mileage even after removing the 4x4 shaft.

Ther must be option systematically or by some knob to convert it to 2wheel drive. Check manual

How much your car is driven.
You should read manual. Download it from another thread.
Oil filter and Airfilter should be of lepon as orignal toyota are so costly. Check cabin filter if its fine then keep that otherwise change it.
If your car odometer is showing orignal reading and you have bought genuine car then just check gear oil otherwise change it
Change the position of tyres. Rear tyres should come on front in opposite position while front tyres should go back in same position
