Brothers need help.
I got my car's battery changed (2015, bought a month ago, 24k driven). The battery was getting drained overnight. Even when I unplugged it, and plugged it back in the morning the car didn't start. So it seemed, the battery wasn't storing charge. Eco idle/smart start stop was not working too.
The average when I bought the car was at 6.3, after driving around 300 km total it went up to 13.3. After putting in the new battery following has happened:
1- Eco idle is still not working. (it doesn't even blink in orange light). The green light doesn't turn on when I'm idling at signal or so. Drove 20 km after changing the battery.
2- the trip A and B got reset, clock time has got changed. And the average suddenly went up to 15km/l which previously seemed to be stagnant at 13.3 km/l (I'm assuming 15km/l one is the correct average, compared to manual calculations. And the reason why it is now showing the correct figure is perhaps ECU got rebooted upon changing the battery?)
Please share your thoughts, as what could possibly the reason for eco idling not working (seat belt fasten, AC off, shifter at D, and foot on break padal). And the sudden change in figures on meter.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Adil
